Prescript

Hi. Im trying to find out several issues regarding prescripts. My wife and i have been seperated for 3 years. We have 2 beautiful daughters and recently i met them at a vacation home. I was asked to retrieve something from ex's car and noticed 2 prescripts (Lithium and Cerefolin) written under her first name but a totally different last name (both married or maiden were not on label). Not looking to get anyone in trouble but the daughters are the ones im mainly worried about as well as her conditions that require this type of act. thanks

not sure but i beleive lithium is wrote for inactive brain chemical/hormone, fairly common script as synthroid wrote fro over active thyroid

Lithium is mainly composed of a salt. It is used to treat bipolar disorder.
Cerefolin is primarily composed of vitamin B-12/folate and is often used to help prevent strokes or improve memory. It is also used, off-label, to supplement SSRI's which are used to treat depression.

Lithium is a mood stabilizer generally prescibed for Bipolar, but is sometimes used for patients with Major Depression as well. It is not related to Synthroid (Levothyroxine Sodium), which is a synthetic form of the thyroid hormone, T4, generally used to treat hypothyroidsm, but can be used in other types of thyroid conditions. Hypothyroidsm can cause depression if not treated, but does not cause Bipolar. Bipolar and Major Depression are physiologic, brain chemical imbalance disorders, and not just "emotional problems" or "weakness in character." Unfortunately, they are often hereditary, but are in no way shape or form, a case for a man or woman to lose custody or visitation rights of their children, unless, they refuse treatment and are a danger to themselves, their children and others. So please don't get any funny ideas just because you found 2 Rx's for meds used to treat psychiatric conditions. Good luck. Honesty and gentleness go a long way in such matters.
