Prednisone Helps

I have read alot of reviews here and on other web sites, but all I can say about this drug is...Where have you been...I am taking 5m tabs 12 a day for 5 days and it decreases to 10 for 4 days and 8 for 3 until you're down to one tab. I am taking it for a lower back pain caused by 2 degenterive discs and bone chips. It help straighten me up and eliminated 90% of the pain. My concern is what happens when I have to stop....I love this medication, and it has also cleared my vision where I no longer need cheaters...It works for me

I have been off and on drugs for Chronic Neuropathy for 13 years.Nothing helps the pain.Now they want to put me on Prednisone and I am afraid of it.Does anyone have any horror stories on Predisone?I need to know before I commit myself to this...Please!!

Arlene, yes there are risks associated with using Prednisone, but there are risks associated with using any medication on the market.

The same is true of horror stores, if you look for them, you're going to find them about it and everything else, including over the counter Tylenol.

What you really need to do is sit down and discuss the concerns rationally with your doctor, so you can make an informed decision on whether or not it is the right medication for you to try.

I chose the Neurontin to try.I was still afraid of the Predisone.I am afraid of all of it but the pain,I can't handle.They are doing more tests on me.I just could not try Predisone as I am afraid of the side effects..

I take this for severe psoriasis and when I first started it helped and made my rashes fade tremendously but then I started getting side effects, feeling like Gumby, eating a ton of food, etc. So I chose to discontinue this for methotrexate.

I also had psoriasis and took ptednisone which cleared up my head as well as my ears and upper body. I had no side effects at all. It also helped me clear a bladder infection which the pills prescribed could not do.

It has worked great for my back and i have a herniated disc.
It helps me get up and walk.
