Pharmacy Problems
UpdatedJust reading what others had to say. Yes, we have a problem as a whole nation with our medications. I don't just have a problem getting narcotic pain relievers, I also have a problem with my heart med brand and my husband with his diabetes meds. The pharmacies have been changing manufacturers whenever it seems to be an advantage to them. They treat me like a criminal whenever I complain about my oxycodone manufacturer, cause it must be cause I want to feel high, though that doesn't apply to my ER pain medication, so why am I still treated like a big "druggie" when I fill that script?
The pharmacy using DEA as an excuse is exactly that, an excuse. I have had two major pharmacies, Safeway and Walgreen, and one independent tell me straight out that the whole issue is profit. Safeway and Walgreens in CO have purchased a very large quantity of KVK Tech oxycodone at a very reduced price, and no matter that the customers have been complaining for over a year that the filler/buffer, medication, whatever the cause, these oxycodone are not effective and have side effects for many people.
People don't seem to care that the FDA is allowing manufacturers a large percentage fudge factor and that they are changing the medication and the buffer/filler that transmits the medication to your CNS, which determines it's effectiveness.
This isn't just a problem with pain relievers, it's now my heart med, and the diabetes meds we purchase. I fight chronic pain and he fights diabetes. We don't need to adjust to different medication every month. If people were paying $100 for electricity and only receiving $80 worth, they would be addressing this issue. So it must be that unless something is directly affecting people they don't care.
