Period Delay After Abortion Pill

Hi, I got pregnant in last april, had one abortion pill. I got heavy period instantly for 5-6 days. My period was due on 22nd May. It did not came. I checked Pregnancy test and result was negative. Still I am not getting my period started. Its 12 Days now. Plz suggest what should i do? Also, There is any chance that I am still pregnant? Thanks.

If you had the bleeding and the test was negative, then it isn't very likely that you're pregnant. It is more than likely that the effects of the pregnancy and the induced abortion have disrupted your menstrual cycle and it may take awhile for your body to return to normal.

If you are worried, then you can always consult a doctor for an exam or professional lab pregnancy test.

Have you shown any signs of pregnancy? Like weight gain or breast tenderness?

If you are still pregnant after a medical (pill) abortion, (which is unlikely BUT possible), then you MUST get the surgical abortion. You cannot continue with a pregnancy once you've taken the abortion pill. They should have told you this when you took the pill. If you continue with the pregnancy, it can have horrible effects if born.

I don't think you have any reason to worry just yet. On this page you can read about period - when it's supposed to start, etc.. And it says it's normal to take up to 8 weeks!

Hi I've had a medical abortion exactly 4 weeks and 2 days ago. I was 5 weeks and 3 days when I had the abortion. I took a pregnancy test yesterday and it came out positive. I am also passing cervical mucus now and then and it feels as if my period wants to come but every time I check there's nothing there. I've had sex once since the abortion and I used a condom so I know it's not a new pregnancy but now I'm worried if the abortion failed because it's been over 4 weeks and I'm still getting a positive pregnancy result.

hi it usually takes 6weeks average for period to come after medical abortion. its completely normal so dont stress about it too much. pregnancy test can be positive for around 5weeks after medical abortion. have u been to obgyn since ur abortion? i strongly suggest to go back for a check up.
i had a medical abortion 6weeks ago. i went for a check up and i was told that my abortion was successful. now im just waiting for my period to come. i didnt start oral contraceptive right away after the abortion so im gonna start taking it once i get my period.

You sound like you have a serious infection as a result of your procedure. You must see a doctor URGENTLY, you can die if it spreads to your bloodstream and you are already risking your fertility. If you let this infection spread, the scarring could block your Fallopian tubes which can mean no more babies EVER, worse, no more YOU. Go back to the doctor immediately.

Sorry,but am sorry you are definitely pregnant. The pregnant kit is suitable to use in the morning when the HCG concentration is high. In the evening it may give in accurate results.

I had a surgical abortion on the 4th of october,i went for abortion on the 9th of November nd the doc told me I was 6 weeks pregnant,i have to undergo another procedure on the 10th of November, I went for another ultrasound on the25th of November nd it was confirmed that I was no longer pregnant today is27th of November nd I haven't seen my period yet am I still pregnant?
