Support: My doctor prescribed 20 mg paxil brand tablets. It is a white oblong tablet and scored in the middle on one side. It works for me after 2 months of use. Who makes this tablets and what locations have them for sale. I cannot find any supplier. I am afraid to take any other GENERIC ones. I have heard all kinds of bad stories when you switch. I have been on Paxil before- and it worked wonders for me. I have now been without it for a few years as I lost my health insurance and could not afford it. I found several websites that I can get it without an RX, but am wondering how safe that is. Has anyone purchased Paxil this way? ## It is not safe, Paxil contains the active ingredient Paroxetine and, in the U.S., it requires a prescription. When you order from a website that doesn't require a prescription, they are usually of foreign origin and the medications have not been approved for safety and efficacy by the FDA. It is available as a generic now, under the name of the active ingredient Paroxetine and a 30 day supply of the 40mg tablets only costs around $25 to $30. Have you considered trying it?

my daughter suffers from depression and i have found this loose out of a bottle with no bottle around. she is prescribed several different medications and i believe it is paxil but want to make sure ## I believe you're probably correct, but the marking is ZC 16, though it can be hard to read. It contains 20mgs of Paroextine, the active ingredient in Paxil, which is an SSRI antidepressant. Does it match the other tablets in her prescription?

This may be a generic for paxil but do not know the mgs ## Located a match it's Paroxetine 10 mg, which is used to treat major depression, obsessive-compulsive, panic, social anxiety, and generalised anxiety disorders in adult outpatients. Long light blue ,N 2 on one side M on the other. It is generic paxil 20 mg. ## This Paroxetine 20mg tablet was manufactured by Mylan pharmaceuticals. Paroxetine as an SSRI antidepressant. Paxil is an SUI class of antidepressant, along with Prozac and similar compounds, its chief function as a seratonin reuptake inhibitor became very popular beginning in the late 80's and early 90's. I was on 30mg. daily for situational depression associated with a nasty and protracted divorce. The drug virtually saved me from imminent doom, as I was headed for a complete breakdown when I was finally diagnosed. It does have several noticeable side effects, which may or may not be tolerated well by each patient. Restlessness, insomnia, ejaculate dysfunction, erectile dysfunction and libido alteration seem to be the most apparent, at least in men. My mother's doctor started my 87 yr. old mother on Paxil in the nursing home & it completely changed her personality. She got many side effects, dry mouth, irritability, unable to focus on conversation & so on until she ended up with such severe abdominal pain & urinary retention that she ended up being readmitted to the hospital. Boy has she lost a lot of rehab time (she is recovering from a fractured hip). ## Whenever I forget to take my Paxil, I begin to feel anxious, moody,sad vulnerable and hopeless. I am so frustrated, I`m on 40 mg of Paxil and I`m sure it is the cause of my lqack of Orgasm. Does anyone else have this problem? ## This seems to be a very common side effect with paxil. Hi everyone, I think I might have 'stumbled' across Paxil in my cousin's medicine cabinet.. Only thing is that I never thought he would be prescribed this medication. Does this medication come in a pill?
