Pan 40 Side Effects

My grandmother is a 90 year old patient of copd along with a gallbladder stone and kidney stone. As a result, acidity forms everyday. She used Pan-40 for the last 5 years. I want to know how many days she will need to take it for?

The active ingredient in this is Pantoprazole, it is a proton pump inhibitor that is used to reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach.

Has her doctor prescribed it? If so, then she should use it as long as they recommend her to do so.

It may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, stomach pain and flatulence.
