I have a severly herniated disc in my lower back!Are there any doctors in Westchester County New York that prescribe 30mg Oxcycontin or Oxcycodone? I just got diagnosed 3days ago and having major problems getting a Scrip for my sever pain.My last Doctor could only give me Hyrocodone or Vicedin which do absolutely nothing! Thanxs!

Candy, no you can't. Under the current laws, controlled substance medications can only be legally prescribed once a patient has been evaluated and examined by a doctor.

And quieboo48, you are most likely going to have to see a pain management specialist, the new laws also restrict what a regular doctor can prescribe and how long they can prescribe it.

Anyone requiring long-term management of chronic pain will have to see a specialist for ongoing treatment.

I have been going to doctor for year and have perscri but my regular pharmacy is out and hardly ever have them so was hoping to be able to get through mail order if I have go blue insurance with blue cross so I don't have to wait and go through hassles.
