I am prescribed 40 mg oxycontin twice a day for almost a year now. I have noticed severe swelling in my joints, more so in my joints in my hands and feet. Could this be a side effect of the the OC? ## I am prescribed 40 mg of oxycontin twice a day for almost a year. I have noticed sever swelling in my joints, more so in my hands and feet. Coult this be a side effect of the OC? Rheumatoid arthritis and Lupus have been ruled out. Please help? ## Narcotics have been known to cause this problem in some people. I experienced it back when I was misdiagnosed and put on pain management and was taking Morphine. I ended up with more joint inflammation and pain than the medication was actually helping. It is not common, but yes, it can happen with some people, especially if whatever condition they...

these pillls came mixed with my oxycotin 20 mg oc - 20 (round pink) pills, or they just generic or the wrong medicine ## No, they are the new Oxycontin OP, same medication, but they have been specifically formulated to help prevent abuse. Your pharmacy was permitted to use up their prior stock of the original Oxycontin, but once they ran out, they have to use the new product. They probably did not have enough left of the original to finish filling your prescription, so they had to use the new product. Is there anything else I can help you with?

Alot of us on Oxycodone use it for pain relief. We that use the drug for its relief it gives us. I have a spinal disease where my spine is growing together. a.s. (a.s.sufferers speak up!!) I need immediate release, the time release simply does not work for me. This is why my doctor prescribes me Roxicodone 30 and 15 for breakthrough pain. All I did was bite my er's and all was ok. Now I have to think I'm eating plastic which causes other problems. I don't have long on this earth but as an American who votes, pays taxes and works full time I deserve a drug that give me enough relief to get my ass up at 3am to get to work so I can pay my mortgage. Who's idea was this anyways. government mandated?

Dark orange/red, round, 60 (one side), OC (other side) - Is this Oxycontin 60 mg? ## Yes, this is 60mgs of Oxycodone CR, a generic for Oxycontin, a potent narcotic pain reliever. Manufactured by Purdue Pharma. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. ## The OC namebrand works better than the new OP brand. they seem to only work half as good.

My man used oxycontin fairly responsibly up until the last 8 months. Now, when he gets his prescription filled, he stays up all night doing God-knows-what. The next morning, I've found things in places that make no sense. He breaks and loses things. Often, he continues to carry on this way for a few days and nights. If he sits down, his eyes close and he fades away, but his arms and legs continue to constantly move and reach for nothing visible. He's gone on this way for up to a week at a time, then he'll finally crash into a sleep that lasts for days, waking only to take his oxy. He doesn't seem to remember most of this. Can anyone tell me what's going on here? Is there anything I can do? He won't acknowledge a problem. ## well the oxycontin is a time released h...

In addition, obtaining medications from a foreign source, when they are readily available in the US, is illegal. ## ok but now they are not readily available in the u.s .....so therefore not illegal anymore....right? I have heard that those will be on the street in no time at all.....are these made by purdue and shipped to mexico? or another company down there, and totally seperate from what purdue is doing up here with the discontinuation?
