I DON'T TINK THAT THE OP IS AS STRONG AS THE OTHER, IS THERE A WAY TO SPEED UP THE EFFECTIVNESS ## There really isn't any way to do this. There have been many complaints about this new Oxycontin OP not being as effective as the original product and about it causing unusual side effects. You should speak to your doctor if it isn't controlling your pain. You should also report any problems to both Purdue and the FDA at the following numbers: Purdue Pharma number for drug safety/medication issues: 888.726.7535 FDA MedWatch number: 800-332-1088 Are there any questions or comments?

can u inject the Ethex oxycontin ## First off, there is no Oxycontin made by Ethex. The only company in the U.S. that is authorized to make Oxycontin is Purdue. Ethex does make regular release Oxycodone products, that would be the generics for Roxicodone, however. Second, trying to inject a drug that is not intended to be used that way can be very dangerous. Many tablets contain fillers, some of which are not intended to be broken down by the human body, they are normally just expelled in your natural waste. If you snort or inject them, you are putting these substances into your body, where it cannot eliminate them. This creates the risk of creating blockages, which can result in problems such as embolisms and stroke. Do you have any other questions?

I have taken OC 40 for years, My friend called me and said she filled her scrip with the new OP, She hates them and crys over her old medicine. Walgreens has all old OC, filled mine yesterday. ## They can continue to fill prescriptions with the old product, until their supplies run out, then all pharmacies will have the new Oxycontin OP. I am very sorry to read of what your friend is going through. She should report her problems to both Purdue Pharma and the FDA. The more problem reports, they more attention they will pay to them. She can use the following numbers: Purdue Pharma number for drug safety/medication issues: 888.726.7535 FDA MedWatch number: 800-332-1088 Does anyone have any questions or comments?

I havent heard alot about these new op oxy 40s but i read alot on here does anyone know if they r time released if u do crush it and try to snort it i have had 9 openheart surguries and have severe chronic pain and cant afford insuranse so all i can do is buy these for relief and now all thats around are these new ops someone tell me if they are worth it or if im better off doing without cause my tolerance is to high to wait on them to release little by little ## The new Oxycontin OP cannot be crushed or chewed to release it faster, it will always retain its time released properties. They have been specially made to prevent abuse and are replacing the original Oxycontin, which will no longer be made. For pain, it works the same and still has the same side effects: nausea, drowsiness, di...

I joined this site to specifically ask this question. Let me give you some background. I'm a recent college graduate. Shortly before graduation, I got a job at a hotel, working with the banquet department. We handle parties like weddings & bar mitzvahs plus seminars in the hotel. My friend got me this job. This friend is an OxyContin addict. I first used OxyContin 3 or 4 years ago, when this friend introduced the drug to me. We'd crush it up and swallow it. I would only take it when he offered it to me, once a month, maybe more. I'd also go for months and months without it with no problem. Never had any cravings and it would rarely enter my mind when I did use it. But once I got this job in the last week of April, I was on my feet a lot, working late into the night (1, 2...

round peach color just like a 20mg oxy but in stead it has 20 on one side and PO on the other can you help me out they are supposed to be oxy 20 they do have the wax coating and all that ## Its the new OP OXY its un abusable supposedly. ## That is correct, this is the new Oxycontin OP, it has replaced the original product and has been specially designed to help prevent abuse. If someone tries to crush or chew it, it turns into a gum like substance that retains its time released properties. Otherwise, it is supposed to work the same and carries the risk of the same side effects: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. Are there any questions?

20 op ## This is the new Oxycontin OP, 20mgs and specially designed to help prevent abuse, it has replaced the original Oxycontin. If someone tries to crush or chew the tablet, it basically turns into a gummy goo that supposedly can only be dissolved by stomach acid, so it retains its time released properties. It is, however, supposed to work the same and carries the risk of the same side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. Read more: Do you have any questions?

Does anyone out there have any knowledge or any experience with getting their script filled with the distributor Ethex, 80mg oxycotin's and Medical paying for them. I can't find a brain one that can answer that question as of yet?!!! And how to make sure my CII script is written to get it. Or just bring in the script and ask for only them from Ethex itself since it is already a CII script (must have 1 every month because of no refills on these)????? Im amazed that know one has the answer or hasn't read on the other discussion with this web site. thank you if you have this info. ## I can tell you that Ethex does not make Oxycontin. What they do make is similar to Roxicodone. They did make something similar to OxyIR but I do not beleive they make that anymore. You can get thei...

is roxicontin similar to oxycontin?what narcotic is in roxicontin? ## First of all, let's clear up the fact that there is no medication called Roxicontin. Many people confuse them, but it is actually two different products. One is called Oxycontin and it is a time release formulation of the narcotic Oxycodone. The other is called Roxicodone and is a regular release formulation of the same narcotic, Oxycodone. So, both contain the same active ingredient, one is just time released. white solid pill, same diameter as the oxycontin 10mg, but thicker. Was in a bottle of oxy 10mg. the oxy had oc on one side and 10 on other. This thicker one had op on one side and 10 on the other. ## This is an Oxycontin tablet, it's the new Oxycontin OP 10mgs and still contains Oxycodone. This new product has been specially formulated to help prevent abuse and is replacing the original. I would assume your pharmacy ran out of the original tablets to complete the prescription fill and had to add in one of the new ones. Side effects are the same: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Read more: Do you have any other questions?

dry out cook ## Oxycontin OP can also not be dried out, due to the very nature of what is used in it to prevent abuse. If someone does this with any narcotic, they also run the risk of overdose, which could be fatal. Side effects remain the same: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Are there any questions?

I suffer from severe Fibromyalgia and my Humana Insurance does not cover Oxycontin. Is there help from the drug company so that I can afford this medicine. I have had to start on Oxycodone for the past week and it just does not help the severe pain on a constant level. The Oxycodone makes me sleep all the time and my quality of life is just about bottomed out this week. The Oxycodone does not help with the breakthrough pain. I have been on the Oxycontin over five (5) years with good results, but insurance premium went to $1125.00 per month and my husband only averages about $1500 a month. Help! Jackie ## Jackie- Ask your doctor to call/write to the insurance company saying why you need Oxycontin. Insurance co. see it as just another pain killer, not a life saver for those us who hurt. A...
