We are looking for the co that makes this medication so we can get it at a discount. Please help me with what you can on information. ## Oxycontin is manufactured by Purdue Pharma, however, unless you are pharmacy, or some type of medical service, such as a hospital, you are not going to be able to purchase large quantities directly from them, since it requires a doctor's prescription. Oxycodone is a generic and has many different manufacturers, which can vary from country to country. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Purdue offers a discount card that is accepted at most pharmacies. It is usually good for 1 year, and makes a huge difference to out of pocket costs. You can call their customer service 800 #, and they will send your card within a reasonable time. ## Purdue ph...

Friend said got from his mom I told him not to trust and hope he does not take, He Thinks is a 60 OC But blank on both sides. Also his mom has type of cancer, maybe meds for that? ## I could see why your friend might've initially thought it was a 60mg OxyContin, but my opinion is that since there's no markings to verify anything, this could easily be anyone's best guess. The only honest way to identify it would be through a lab analysis or perhaps a even drug panel from the pharmacy. This process should at least help depict the drug class of whatever substance is being evaluated. Additionally, US prescription drugs are required by the FDA to bear an imprint... So this leads me to believe that it's probably some sort of over the counter, foreign, or counterfeit/illicit pr...

Found this pill outside of a candy store. Teenagers are always in the store on Friday/Saturday and I don't want a young child to pick it up and eat it like candy... ## What are the markings on it? That is what would enable me to identify it for you. Can you please post back and clarify? The FDA warns that Oxycontin carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, and constipation.

Just trying to find out what the PUR on my oxycodone bottle means. I'm guessing it's a form of sustained release, but just wanted to know the medical terminology. Thanks! ## That stands for the manufacturer, which in this case would be Purdue Pharma. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possible including nausea, headache, dizziness, drowsiness, constipation, and dry mouth. It also carries the risk of being habit forming. Currently, Oxycontin is only available from this manufacturer and it is only available as a time released formulation. Is there anything else I can help with?

They are horrible. Purdue pharma put too much filler and other stuff in them. They can pass right through your body in your stool, which happened to me. They can make you sick. They take way too long to work. I get about 6 hours and that's just calming my pain down. The docs will tell you they're 12 hour pain relief which is BULL, and the 80mg say 12 hours - Now how can that be? I've been through 6 failed lower back operations, damaged nerves, scar tissue on nerves, 5 deteriorated discs in my upper back, 3 severe multiple bone spurs sticking in my nerves and 2 bulging discs in my neck, and need both knees replaced. And my doc only wants me to take 2 a day. I only get 3 hours of sleep. I'm up at 1am or 2:30am and then take another dose at 9 or 10 am. I CANNOT go through t...

i found under my fridge a yellow round small pill with 40 on one side in dark letering, any idea what it is? ## Is there any chance that there's a marking "OC" on the other side of the pill? The closest match I'm finding is a round yellow pill imprinted with 40 on one side and OC on the other; identified as OxyContin (40mgs). Manufacturer: Purdue Pharma LP National Drug Code (NDC): 59011-0440 If this doesn't match your pill, I hope it can at least help to narrow down your search! ## cant see any thing on other side, but the 40 is in dark numbers and its not ingraved in the pill itself ## What is this small round oval like pill yellowish in color marked 40 in black lettering on one side, there is about 6 of them and none of them say anything on other side

I need a 40 mg oxycontin Er pill look alike. They are a light orange almost kinda yellow pill. Any suggestions would be very helpful. I understand the markings will be different and that is fine as long as the color is pretty much dead on. ## I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking this, but I don't know who you're trying to fool by doing that. Unless you know of a quality counterfeit, there's really no such thing as a true look alike. The imprint on the pill doesn't lie and would be easily identified by a medical professional or someone who takes these types of pills on a regular basis. Not only that, but you could possibly be endangering the patient who's prescribed these by mixing them with something that they are allergic to or that isn't necessarily t...

Doctor just took me off 120 mg OxyContin daily and switched me to Fentanyl 75 mcg. What can I expect as far as differences in the effects? Are these two separate doses equal in strength? ## Yes, Fentanyl is the strongest opiate narcotic that is available. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. However, the only way to discover how well it will work for you is by trying it. Have you started using it, yet? ## Does that work onyourpain fentanyl75 and your oxy80cause i have cancr pain

is taking 2 10mg oxycontin tabs the same as taking 1 20mg oxycontin? ## Yes, it would essentially be the same, though there may be some slight variations, just due to there being two separate pills, so the release rate could be slightly different. Have you been advised to take 2 10mg instead of one of the other? ## I have been taking 1 oxycontin 20 mg twice a day every 12 hrs for over 5 yrs. I have been on oxycontin for about 11 years for pain management. I take 80 to 100 mg per day in 20-30 mg doses orally. In the last couple of years I have developed a severe sweating problem...I will break into a sweat for no reason sometimes but usually upon any sort of stimulation physical or mental. I just went for a 10 minute walk and my shirt is soaked through...even the sleeves. If I play a set of music with my band, at the end of 40 minutes, I look like I stood in a shower with my clothes on. Is this normal as a side effect of oxycontin use? Anyone else experience anything like this? ## This can happen with the long-term use of most narcotics, because you are adding a chemical to your body and basically screwing with its function and chemistry. It can also occur with some antibiot...

Had to do a saliva test at pain doc office...already on narcos, i took a quarter of a oxcontin 2 days before a saliva test which didn't get very wet due to dry mouth and I had a tiny amount of marijuana 2 days prior which i never do...will these show up in the saliva test? ## Saliva testing, can it tell the difference between hydrocodone and heroin? ## Yes it can. Heroin shows up as opiods. And hydrocone shows up as opiates AND THEY even have it broke down to tell if it is hydrocodone or oxycodone or heroin. I have only been in the Milwaukee area for about a year and I have recently lost my Pain Mgt Dr. and I am having an impossible time trying to find another Dr who will continue with my prescription for 20 mg of Oxycontin. They all want to give me the shots or epidurals. Been there/done that and not going back to them. I have done the physical therapy, exercises, therapy, etc. They even want to do surgery but I am not going to do it. Does anyone know of a Pain Mgt Dr in the Milwaukee area that will write a prescription? ## I know of a great pain clinic. You have to pay good money besides what they collect from insurance. I don't know if he'll write for 20 MG's oxycontin but the dr and his wife will do what they can for you. They've helped me a lot. If you still want a clin...

How can I get my Dr. to understand I've built a tolerance to pain meds. Same dosage for 2 yrs . 80mgs of oxycontin and 30mgs of opana daily . I have severe osteoarthritis bursitis and fibromyaliga. Dr. says that's the maxi he can give me. Should I look for another pain Dr.?? ## What is the difference in the old oxycontin and the new?? How can I tell which I have? ## Gigi4121! How are you? The new Oxycontin tablets were reformulated to help make them more abuse proof and the old ones are no longer being manufactured, so it is fairly safe to say that if you've gotten them filled within the past year, you have the new tablets. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth an...
