I need a liberal doctor to prescribe my pain meds in the boise area. I have been on oxycodone for 8 years. My primary cut me off. Please help. ## I was able to locate a few pain management doctors in Boise, ID. Although I'm not sure of their reputation, I'd imagine they'll prescribe you what you need since pain is their specialty: 1. William Binegar, M.D. 1055 N. Curtis Road Boise, Idaho 83706 2. Kirk Miller, M.D. 1417 N. 19th Street Boise, Idaho 83702 3. Timothy Johans, M.D. 1075 N. Curtis Road #200 Boise, Idaho 83706 4. Christian Zimmerman, M.D. 1075 N. Curtis Road #200 Boise, Idaho 83706 5. Richard A. Dubose, M.D. 8950 W. Emerald St Boise, Idaho 83704 I hope this helps! ## Why did they cut you off? And as to finding a liberal doctor, due to the new laws being enforced, th...

Does anyone have recommendations of any doctors who will actually manage your pain in North Alabama (Gadsden to Huntsville area)? I have been on pain management for greater than 10 years, always been compliant with my treatment plan, never failed a drug panel, have LOTS of documentation showing my problems but yet NO ONE wants to truly manage my pain. In the past it seems as if I am placed on a regimen that finally works then all the sudden the MD or NP says that due to DEA they can no longer prescribe meds as I have been taking (that they started me on mind you) and they drop my doses drastically??? During the 10+ years I have only saw 2 pain management MD's so I do not doctor shop, etc..after a significant cut (3 -60mg Oxycontin's, 3 -30mg Roxicodone PRN BTP, Soma PRN to 2 - 6...

this is a little light blue round pill with a m printed on it and underlined ## I can't possibly list them all, there are far too many on the market. It is the imprint that identifies them. Can you post back with the markings on the tablet in question? There is one that has an M in a box on one side and a 30 on the opposite side of the pill, it is light blue. There is another in a darker blue, with the M in a square and the numbers 596 on the opposite side. Do any of these match your tablet? ## What is the difference in oxycontin and roxycontin ## What you have is a 30mg roxy (Oxycodone ) ## I have a pill that's pink and has a k56 on one side and nothing is the other. Is this one of those pills?

Have 80 mg oxycodone but scared to take that much, can I cut in half,? Quarters? ## Hello, Richie! How are you? No, Oxycontin is a time released formulation of Oxycodone and cutting it could cause you to get too much of the medication, at once. It should be taken intact. The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I just found out that I am pregnant. I am prescribed oxycontin OP 60mg 3x daily. SSince I have found out, I reduced to 2x daily. I feel guilty even taking that, but the WD are really bad. My Dr. Is going to put me on 20mg and tapper me from there. I want to be off of these things b...

I am currently trying to get information on the new released generic Oxycontin 80 milligram tablets .I have heard that by the end of this month there will be a couple of new generic brand Oxycontin 80's made available at a reduced cost here in Ontario Canada .The current cost I have to pay for the dosage of Oxycontin 80 milligram tablets I am taking is $233.oo a week or $932.oo a month ( That though is for the Oxycodone which I found when we changed over from the Oxycontin's was a bit less effective in pain relief) So I for one will be happy to see when the generic brand Oxycontin's are released .If of course their strength is as good as the original Oxycontin's were . If you have any information regarding the new generic brand Oxycontin 80 milligram ,IE the name brand ,...

Hello- I've been taking Oxycontin slow release 5mg twice a day for 4 weeks post op. I want to get off them ASAP as I'm scared of becoming reliant. Do I need to see my GP to wean off or is it ok to just stop? Thanks! ## Hello, Olivia! How are you? You haven't been taking a very high dose, so withdrawals would likely be minimal and may include nausea, dizziness, fever, chills, diarrhea and rebound pain, according to the U.S. FDA. However yes, it would be best to slowly taper off, though after only being on them for 4 weeks, that isn't likely to be a long process. Speaking to your doctor about it would help ensure that you do so as safely as possible. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi..... Thank you so much for your reply. I spoke to my Pharmacist and they said ...

I've been taking Oxycodone 30 mg for neuropathy several years. Recently I was hospitalized five weeks and put on OxyContin 40 mg plus Oxycodone 15 mg for breakthrough which worked like a charm. My problem being is that my 77 year old PCP won't prescribe a time-release and considers them dangerous. My question is this; how do I wean off this med using my leftover 30 and 15 mg Oxycodone until I can locate a new doctor who will prescribe the OxyContin? Plus I'll need to wean from my Oxycodone if I can't locate a doctor. I fear the withdrawal plus the horrible pain of Neuropathy returning full guns if I can't find a new doc. PLEASE someone PLEASE help me with this problem as I'm terribly frightened ## Clonidine helps for withdrawal symptoms. ## Thanks so much for ans...

I have been taking Oxycontin extended relief in low doses for about 24 years I believe. I started out taking 20mg 3 time per day. Today I take 60 mg 3 times a day and still get enough relief from chronic pain to be active. I am cutting my self back to 40 mg 3 times per day with my doctors permission. However my longtime doctor suddenly passed away and now I have no doctor to continus my prescriptions. My health plan is Kaiser and they will not help ,me. I also have Medicare but they will not help with oxycontin either. I pay for my own medicine but need a compassionate doctor to help me.

Why does my friend's pill bottle say 10 mg oxycontin, but when she looks up the markings M squared one side and 05/52 on the other side, it comes up on pill registries that it's 5 mg oxycodone? We are so confused. It's small white and round. ## The markings are the most accurate thing. The tablet with M 0552 on it is manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 5mgs of Oxycodone in a regular release formulation. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Has she checked with her pharmacy? There may have been an error.

I'm prescribed OxyContin and took some Tramadol and I tested positive for Hydrocodone. Why? ## I take 2 7.5/325 mg of hydrocodone and 3 100mg tramadols daily both prescribed by my dr. I went in for my drug tests confident because I don't do anything else. Dr.s office called me and said that they can no longer see me because I tested positive for morphine and oxycodone, is that even possible?! I am to see Monday so I can poke her with my whys and how's? I know it was a 16 panel test and therefore non specific to the drugs prescribed. Can tramadol and hydrocdone show false positives for morphine and Oxycodone? ## I HAD similar thing happen once. Dr told me that it could metabolize into vicodin in, my liver, I believe they said. Have them do a gas chromatography test. I see a p...

I've read TONS of things about the "new" oxycontins...I was just prescribed some a few weeks ago.. I don't know if its because of the small dose..( 15mg.. )or what, but they did absolutely nothing for my pain..thats why I am asking YOU ..I am thinking of getting opana's..or morphine, i'm not really sure..this is where you come in..if you too have been through the wringer with trying to find a good medication for your pain, please let me know what YOU found that helps you the best..especially if its something I have mentioned...i'm just trying to finally find a good med without having to go through 6+ m...

I have never been on oxycontin before but just recently got prescribed 20mg of it. I have taken dilaudid, morphine, and oxycodone pills before though. I accidentally took two oxycontins within 2 hours of eachother as my anxiety medication is small and the same color. Should i be ok or go to an emergency room? ## Hi Winter, I noticed that you had posted this back on 3/27/2017. Today is now 6/29/2017. How are you feeling? Did you ever sense the need to go to the emergency room or contact your doctor? My suspicion is that you probably would have turned out fine when the effects wore off (given your previous exposure to opiates of similar strength), but had this been me, I may have opted to call poison control [1-800-222-1222] and/or like you said, visit the ER... if one oxycontin 30 was snift or taken orally how long would it show up in a urine test ## It can vary a little, depending on how long and how often you were taking it, but narcotics generally clear out of your system in 24 to 48 hours. However, if you have a prescription, then you only need to inform them of that, when you go in for testing. Though, they may want proof from your doctor. Are there any other comments or questions? ## I swallow the OPs and they dont work. ive never misused them as they can cause the foolowing;OxyContin consists of a dual-polymer matrix, intended for oral use only. Abuse of the crushed tablet poses a hazard of overdose and death. With parenteral abuse-IV, the tablet excipients, especially talc, can be expected to result in local tissue necrosis (death), in...

Hello, I take 60mg of Oxycontin 4 times a day and have for like 7 years. I also take oxycodone 90mg total a day prescribed for both, but the oxycodone for just the past few years and diazepam. Well I just recently took a urine med match drug test for my pain management. I've never seen my past results, so I don't know what they say. But this time for some reason quest diagnostics sent me the results and I was floored at what it said, part of it gave levels, and it said my oxycodone, I guess that included oxycontin as well. It said I had 18007 ng/ml in my system, and the cutoff was something like <50. But I don't know for what that cutoff level is for. I don't know what to do, that scares me, and nobody will explain it to me yet. Is there a calculation that I need to ...

I have oxycodone and OxyContin a few different strengths. Oxycodone HCL IR 15MG TAB, Oxycodone 10MG immediate rel tabs, OxyContin 30MG controlled release tabs, OxyContin 40MG tablet, Oxycodone HCL 20mg IR Tablets. They are name brand not generic. My father passed away from cancer last month. What's the best thing to do with the remaining pills? Pharmacy won't allow a return for a refund. ## Hello, Kyle! How are you? I am very sorry about your loss. While they won't allow a return for a refund, they can safely dispose of them for you, if you take them in and ask them to do so. Alternatively, the FDA says the proper way to dispose of them would be to add them into some undesirable substance, such as damn used coffee grounds, or dirty cat litter, place the mess into a sealed co...

I have chronic pain and have been on pain meds for around 20 years. No, I am not a drug addict. I have quit taking pain meds many times for several months at a time. The time I did that I was literally bed ridden which didn't go over well with my family. They begged me to go back to the doctor and get back on my pain meds. At this point I have been with my doctor for 4-5 years now only because my PCP would not increase my pain meds and I so desperately needed it to be increased. So I am at the point again where I need my meds increased and my pain doctor has only increased me one time around two years ago. Now I feel as if I am not on any medication at all. I currently am prescribed 4 - 20 mg OxyContin, 8 - 10/325 mg Norco and 8 - 350 mg Carisoprdol. The truth is (by the way I'v...

can you tell me why hydrocodone is showing up in my urine test and I haven't took any? All I take is 30mg Oxycontin and oxycodone and 600mg gabapentin ## Wow. Wish I had a Dr. Like you. Be grateful you can get pain meds. Who cares what the test results say. Those who take that kind of meds are addicted. Pain is no joke. Take what ever you can. Why live in pain? Just live with a " name calling syndrome " ## I was prescribed 2 60 mg oxycontin & 3 30 mg oxycodone a day. My UA test would show positive for Lortab twice this happened. He said because of the high dose of oxycodone & oxycontin I was on it bleads over showing positive for lortab. ## What??....wow--- I didnt think it is possible to show up as hydrocodone when you say ne...

My wife has been in pain management for 12 + years. She is on 20 mg x 3 a day. What is the protocol for filling long term prescriptions we are having a problem getting hers filled the way they are written. For the last year he has written her a prescription for six months (six different prescriptions dated monthly) since she is one of his most stable patients. This saves us on office visits and she is subject to random drug panels. There has been no problem filling them for the past year until today, the pharmacy is refusing to fill them as written. ## Hello, Scootchy! How is your wife? Yes, they are not supposed to be post-dated and the pharmacy isn't supposed to fill them like that. According to regulations, she should be seen by her doctor each month and a new prescription writte...

I have occasionally used oxy's, about 60mg a day for 2 days twice a month. I use.to use 90+ mg a day for years over a year ago and have cut back drastically. I might have to sod a hair drug test. Will my current use show? ## Mly, depends on what part of your hair is tested. ## They are doing a 12 panel hair test, they cut from the scalp in 3 places a pencil width size. ## If they do hair drug test plus extended opiates (which it looks like they will) the oxy use might show up. A 1.5 inch sample, cut at the scalp line will go back 90 days. A hair drug test is meant to show consistent use over time. ## If I used 80mg of OxyContin 3x in the beginning of the last three months will that little show up on a hair follicle test ? ## See my post of Sept 25, 2014, but I don't think it wil...
