Overdose-abuse! Of Darvocet

Updated

I can't believe they took darvocet off the market because people abuse and over used it. Even aspirin is toxic work over use!!! The drs did not force you to take them around the clock!!!

Hi! I'm sorry you're upset!

However, that's not actually why Darvocet was removed from the market. It contained Propoxyphene and Acetaminophen and it was found that Propoxyphene and its relatives were cardio toxic. Compared to its very low level of efficacy, it was was deemed that the benefits were not greater than the possible risk and that's why it was pulled from the market.

That is how any medication is evaluated, the benefits must outweigh the possible risks for it to be deemed acceptable for human use.

Learn more Darvocet details here.

There are other options available that are much less risky with greater efficacy.

Are there any other comments or concerns?

I hope and pray that anyone who argues with someone who got relief from darvocet ends up with a severely painful chronic medical condition that ruins their quality of life, and that they are allergic and/or sensitive to every pain killing option available, and that they get no relief and have to live with it for the rest of their lives. No one would ever argue with someone in pain who benefitted from a medication that was prescribed for DECADES with little side effects for everyone who took it, unless you have never experienced pain that cannot be relieved from anything available on the market. Shame on you inexperienced pain-free jerks with no compassion for human beings. THINK like a human being before you argue for this drug.being removed from.the market after DECADES of successful use by BILLIONS of people who are still alive and didnt die... many of whom were on the drug long-term because it was THE drug physicians felt most confortable prescribing for long term use. Screw you people with no personal experience whatsoever, who are running BS out of your mouths, because you have NO idea nor any credibility whatsoever giving your opinion if a drug you don't need and probably have never used... and if you DID use it... WOW, IMAGINE THAT.... YOU ARE STILL ALIVE! IT DIDN'T KILL YOU.
