The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, dehydration, and hypotension. What are the markings on the tablet in question? small white capsule with mylan 810 on it ## This 12.5mg generic hydrochloradiazide HCTZ. Generic for HydroDiurel, Esidrex and Oretic. It is a water pill typically used to empty the system of water and salt, in an attempt to lower one's high blood pressure. Also, it can be used to empty fluid from the lungs, etc. Be careful and look for any blood in the urine or stool, yellow eyes or skin, lots of sweating and other abnormal reactions. ## I can confirm that the white capsule (with the imprints Mylan 810 on each end) is indeed Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg. Hydrochlorothiazide belongs to the drug class thiazide diuretics, also known as water pills, like nenene123 noted. It is used in the treatment of high blood pressure, edema nephrocalcinosis, osteoporosis, and diabetes insipidus. Manu...
