Opiates And Heroin

Updated

A friend of mine is prescribed 300mg oxycontin and 60mg oxycodone daily..so for whatever reason 4 months ago they completely stopped taking and started abusing heroin....question is they have a drug urinalsys this week and they are completely worried about it showing up on the test? I told them from all my reading that weather its oxycontin or heroin it will all show up as opiates on the test and it wont differentiate between the 2. Was I correct with what I told them? That just Opiates and a range will show or do I not know what Im talking about?? TY

Hi Joey,

I think your answer is spot on when it comes to standard drug screening. While it's true that any drug can be specifically tested for, most standardized drug tests cannot differentiate between the likes of a drug class vs drug name.

If your friend is being tested more thoroughly, then odds are that they can distinguish the difference. But this is something one cannot know right now. And because of that, I don't think your friend should spend his time worrying, as whatever is going to happen is going to happen, whether they do a detailed screening or not.

Your advice was sound though, in my honest opinion!

If you read enough, especially looking for intelligent posts, and if you read some quality newspapers and chase down the facts, you will find that your worst nightmares so far are... nothing... Be aware there is no war on pain -- kinda the opposite. Luckily the only 'advanced' country ignoring new international protocols re opioids is the U.S.A. So only if you live there, and if it's somewhere in the middle of the year 2015, then... oh, dear! Well, we're only a small part of the world. They'll have to do without us. Yeah, sorry, but the DEA makes all the rules now (well, and for the past 10 years -- I have pretty good proof esp for the past 5 yrs). Not to be subversive and end up in prison, but I'll invent a fact: there is quite an increase in non-addicts using heroin. Like 82 year-old Mabel (not a real person, the real person lives around the corner). The DEA and CIA are aiming us at heroin, and while I have documented essentially all I've written, this DEA / CIA thing, and the hook-up with various cartels -- Spanish speaking ones south of the USA, and well, sorry, but with China and weapons they are selling... o.k, gotta take a breath here. The good news is that I am telling the truth. And heroin isn't the worst choice (unless it is for you -- I haven't tried it yet myself) plus we might get lucky and get the cartels to add some plain ole opium to the shipments. This is all about money and power, but the money isn't like the stuff you carry in a wallet -- it's heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine, and select other substances. Sometimes it's converted to dollars, pesos, or whatever is needed. Yeah, this is complex, but if you need to know, start with Iran- Contra. It's much the same thing, but very well-constructed. And all parties have had 30 years since Iran-Contra, and also our government is kinda making the rules, as in kinda with impunity. For me, I've been writing too much lately (better meds) and they are going to come after me. They've been, well, doing things. They hope I haven't uploaded data to the cloud, but I have, and am working with some amazingly brave and smart patriots. But I'm promised the loss of my meds soon (no, not because I feel great or am healed, but because I've put about 90% of the insane picture together. My cheerleaders are suggesting that I stop posting and get about 380 pages out there. So for now I'm drawing up some ergonomic furniture (I can't work while sitting, lying, or standing). But I can lie on my left side (side prone position). It wears on me but has worked for two years. But I need a right-hand keyboard (gotta "sell some drugs" to the CIA), cuz the Chinese make the keyboards I need. See how it works? So...soon..
