Nucynta Drug Testing

My husband takes Nucynta for chronic back pain...he can't get through a day wlo taking 3-4. When he went to his pain mgnt dr yesterday, his drug test came back clean and b/c he is a long-time patient, they him enough to get thru a week but that was it. I see this man take these pills with my own eyes so I'm 120% sure he takes them. It also didn't show his sleep aid (trazadone) or his anti-anxiety (Clanozepin) - not sure of spelling. How could it be that he takes all these pills religiously but absolutely nothing is showing up?

The Trazodone isn't something tested for on these tests, so it wouldn't be on them, at all.

However, the Nucynta and Clonazepam should be, but what may have occurred is just that his levels registered too low, which would be treated just like a negative result. This could happen is he's been getting a lot more exercise, missed a couple of pills, increased his fluid intake, has had diarrhea and quite a few other factors too numerous to list.

He could have had a false negative... It happens all the time, especially false positives. Also, sometimes they mix up the samples or results... They should have just repeated the test. Good luck to ya, sounds like a major pain in the a**!!!

This just happened to me! also ativan did not show. I was dropped, no prescriptions given a week before Christmas! Who does this!

I have been taking tapentadol from past 2 months. My question is whether this drug is detected in simple opium test, or there is some special test to detect this drug in urine?

I've dealt with this before also when my Dr sent my results to me and asked where are your meds. I read the whole paper and at the bottom of the test from the lab it specifically says a special test has to be ordered for tepentadol which is nucynta. hope this helps.

I am having the same issue with my drug tests! I go to APM & I take my meds like I'm supposed to & the test still comes up negative. It makes no sense! So then they test me more often than every 6 months. Just irritating.
