Nubain addiction isn't all its cracked up to be. I tried it once via 1 iu IM, I had it controlled to 3 iu's about a week afer easily. Now 7 months later I am up to 2 amps+. I can't come off it myself. It has a ceiling effect, so after the initial euphoria you are just wasting it, yet I do it about 7 times a day. ## I want to ask, is it possible to leave Nalbin injection coz my wife is addicted to Nalbin and i'm worried about her? ## I am so sorry for the late reply. Years ago Nubain could be ordered anywhere in the world and come in two days by ups. I couldn't believe it, then all shut down. So if it's not a class 4 drug why is it impossible to get? Years ago Nubain used to be a popular and effective drup for pain. It was the only thin that relieved my mom's back pain or my migrain headaches. I am a nurse and haven't heard of anyone getting Nubain in years so I asked an MD recently. He couldn't give me an answer. If it's not classified as a narcotic and relieves pain, why aren't more doctors prescribing it? ## Nubain contains the active ingredient Nalbuphine, which is still considered an opioid, though you are right, it is not classified as a narcotic and doesn't fall under the controlled substances act. I am not sure why it isn't used more often, though it may be due to the fact that it was found much more effective in women and it can actually increase pain in men. I was given a nubain shot at the hospital and I tested positive for oxycodone, but have not taken anything other than that shot, antibiotics and the norco 7.5 prescribed to me. ## Yes. It will make the OXY pos. Nalbuphine takes approximately 10 days to metabolize and leave your system. However, since it is metabolized in the liver, the less fatty foods you eat and the more water you drink the better.

This past Friday, I had an allergic reaction to Nubain. Within 5 minutes of the injection I was experiencing all over body burning chills. Within the next 20 minutes, 911 was called. 4 EMT's arrived to find me on the bed having convulsions and screaming. It too 2 of them to hold me down so benedryl cound be administered. I was taken to the ER where for the next 7 hours I screamed and convulsed, the movement was totally involuntary. I could not stop shaking. The screams were caused by the pain over my body which felt like I was on fire and being frozen at the same time. I had difficulty breating, also. It is now Wednesday and I am still fighting the reaction...I still have spasms, chills, shaking, memory loss, vision loss in right eye, pain over body and extreme sweating. I contacted...

I had a bad reaction to Nubain when recovering from surgery, back in my room on morphine IV drip. The nurse gave it to me and I think she was incompetent or worse. It wiped out the morphine and I immediately felt the impact of my surgery post-op. I was miserable for hours, they gave me emergency pain intervention to bring me back to where I was before she gave me the Nubain. It was a terrible experience. ## Wow, that's terrible, very sorry it happened to you. Did they provide you with any explanation for it?

I'm suffearig acidity last 7 years. And i'm taking ocid 20 when i suf'ring acidity.and also gastric truble and eating food coming out throgh mouth after take breakfast or food also digestion prople but not stumac pain. Only a doctor is going to be able to help you get to the root of your problem and find a possible solution. If it is still occurring after 7 years, you really need to get a doctor involved. Can Codeine be safely taken with Nubain? ## From what I was able to gather, taking Codeine with Nubain (Nalbuphine) is not recommended. I would check with your MD. I am not a doctor nor do I know your medical history, but there are many reported unpleasant side effects. They are both intense pain relievers, however Codeine is intended for mild to moderate pain, whilst Nubain is indicated for more moderate to severe pain. Depending on the severeness of the condition should determine which of the two is right for you by your MD.
