Hello, Scott! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having.
And yes, other people have had similar issues. There can be slight variations in the amount of the active ingredients when going from a name brand to a generic, or from one generic to another. The differences are very slight and don't affect most people, but they can cause problems for someone who has been taking the same one for a long time, or for someone that is sensitive to medications.
The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
In many cases, your body will adjust in about a week. However, if things don't improve, you should contact your doctor to explore your other options, such as using an alternative medication, changing your dosage or perhaps having only the name brand prescribed to avoid future issues.
Is there anything else I can help with?
