Norco Information

Can anyone offer their experiences with taking Norco or its various generics? How long have you taken it? I have just been prescribed this.

I have taken Norco and the similar drugs like vicodin for many years. It is helpful for treating moderate pain for short periods. If you take opiate based pain meds for long periods of time you can build up a tolerance and you have to take more to get the same results. I have found taking an anti-imflamitory along with these meds helps to manage the pain.

Hello, Jim! How are you? And thank you, Renee, for posting such helpful information.

Some others things to keep in mind about Norco is that since it is an opiate narcotic, it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

As to taking it, I have been on before myself and found it to work well for pain, but it tends to make me very drowsy and causes a slight high type of feeling.

Walgreens refuses to carry Watson Actavis and won't sell it any more. So don't look for it. They are cheap and don't care about you. That is a fact. I was told this. Try to get another pain reliever beside Norco.
