Nitrofur Mono Macro

Hi, i got UTI last month & my gyno adviced me to take Nitrofur Mono Macro 100 mg for 7 days continously(1 tab twice a day).Fianally, i got well after 7 days wid dis medicine & no more infection is there, but now I have not got my period this month and its already over due by 10 days. Also m trying to conceive with my husband..I did preg test as well but it was negative. M having symptoms like nausea, morning headaches, tired ness, dizziness n all.. Can any 1 pls let me know wat's dis going on wid me..Is there any preg chance for me or is dis delay is due to this medicine. Pls reply soon. Thanks!!

There is really no way anyone here can give you a definitive answer from just the limited information in your post.

Yes, there is a possibility you could be pregnant, not all OTC pregnancy tests are reliable, especially if you're only overdue by 10 days, they may not detect the changing levels of HCG that signify pregnancy.

Or, it could be due to the medication.

Thanks for the response..Yes i've consulted my doc as well and she said me to wait for 2 weeks for preg confirmation..Actually i did last preg test (First Response Preg test) on 19th.Nov & got neg result..Actually i just wanted to confirm that if anybody else had also faced such prob of delay periods by this antibiotic medicine...bcz i took dis med during UTI with my last month periods and that was fine...

So, were you pregnant or did you have your periods.. I had to take the medicine for a UTI last month and my periods are delayed by 5 days now.. I have also been trying to conceive last few months..

hey plz reply me its urgent what u found when u consulted doctor?? actually i had taken contraceptive pill on 2nd of july and after 2-3 days i got urinal infection and i was given the same medicine(nifty).. i did twice pregnancy test at home twice in some interval(after 25 and 35 days after sex) but it was negative.. even i don't feel any symptoms of pregnancy(might be i don't know what are the symptoms) but now my period is due.. it is already 15 days past the date when it should have come.. i dunno what to do even my boyfriend dosent stay in the same city i stay.. if i am not pregnant my periods should have come yet.. so i wanted to know what you found.. did your periods were delayed due to nifty?? if so then i can be little relaxed.. please reply me m in trouble if my periods dosent come soon my mom will drag me to doctor.. m just 19 yrs old.. :(
