Needing Pain Doctor In Virginia To Write My Pain Meds
UpdatedI live in Virginia. Lynchburg VA 24501 to be exact. I've been on opiates 15+ years now and my doctor is retiring in 3 months. I've got all the MRI's, all my major issues and list's of my meds over these years. I was told I needed pain meds the rest of my life as they can't do operation. I'm on Oxycontin er 30mg 2 a day, 30mg oxycodone ir for breakthrough pain 8 a day, 240 a month. I'll take half of that if I got to as I tried getting off them and almost died, started hallucinations, 14 days of pure hell. In 9 days I went from 140lbs to 98lbs. I had no choice but to get back on them. I got any and everything proving legitimate need for being on meds. I became permanently disabled at age 24. I'm now 39 and I got any and everything a doctor would need to take over writing what I'm on now or if they can do something better but I'm not going back to hallucinations. My family and kids watch me play here at home, then hospitalized and I'm still not right in my mind. I'm willing to travel a good ways if needed. Anyone plz help, I'm no junkie. I am dependent but I've never been like doctor jumping or ever use to get scripts from multiple sources back then or now. I'm just trying to find a down to earth an understanding doctor that will listen, see, and help. Not look at me like I'm a nobody as it's happened before, but any help ppl please let me know. Thanks.
