Need To Get Off Roxy 30's

Updated

Will tricare insurance cover the co-payment for me to go to the doctor to get suboxone prescribed to me? And if i go, is there any way that my EX HUSBAND (we are still married as of right now) can find out? I have been doing roxy 30 mg. and oxy 80s for a little over a year now. I want... NEED.... to stop, bad. But I get very bad withdrawals when I do not have them. I can't sleep, don't want go get out of bed, but don't even want to be in bed at the same time because my legs and back hurt so bad. I have endometriosis, which is a very painful stomach problem. I get prescribed Lortab 10 mg. (2 a day) for the pain, but they do not work. I was introduced to Oxycontin, and found it worked very well to control the pain. A little too well, I suppose, because I cannot stop taking them. Anyways, I still have the Tricare insurance, because we are technically still married, but I have been doing some research and it seems like everyone that has Tricare insurance and tries to get the Suboxone prescribed they get dropped by the insurance company. Also being that I am not even the sponsor of the insurance, I am just a beneficiary, I am worried that they will drop me and my (ex)husband will find out. I know that is illegal for them to give out my medical information to anyone without my permission, but being that it is Tricare, I don't know if there's some kind of fine print that if you get dropped they can tell the person sponsoring you, or something like that. Maybe I'm just being paranoid. So should I call tricare and see if they will refer me to a doctor that can prescribe me suboxone or will they just drop me automatically being that I was never prescribed roxy's or oxy. I considered seeing if I could get it just by saying that I am addicted to the Lortabs they have been prescribing me, but I'm afraid they will give me too small of a mg or not enough of it to actually get me off the roxys. What should I do?

No! They cannot tell him any medical specifics on you. Under HIPAA it is completely illegal for them to do so, they cannot even make exceptions under the fine print. It would not matter if you were not separated and were still living together, they still could not tell him anything.

As to whether they will cover it or whether they will drop you, we have no way of knowing that. It depends on your policy and if they find some type of grounds to drop you legitimately.

I suggest calling them, it is the only way to find out.

If I went to just a different doctor and just told them I had no insurance, and just paid for it outright, would they be able to track my actual insurance?

Hey Im not sure if they take it but if you get suboxone that will be the best thing you could ever do for your self!!! I was taking perks, vikes, for about 2 years then I started taking oc's for 2 years then my sister inlaw gave me her doctors number where she get's her suboxone I made a app. got my script and been taking suboxone for like a month now and I feel great!!! I was scared at first because I would go threw withdrawl relly bad(skin crawling sweats chills everything and with this med. I feel like my self no withdrawl felling at all. Suboxone cost alot of money for 35 pills its almost 300 dollars Im not sure how much for the doctor, its really the best way to go, I think!!!!!!! if you want ill give you his number!!!!

Honey, Tricare is an entitlement that your spouse earns but is given to YOU as long as you are married - so no, you can't be dropped. You can go in complete confidence to a military doctor - on another base if you feel more comfortable and get there - and ask for a psych consult to help you with your addiction. The military WANTS military spouses to be addiction-free as it makes a better military family. I know little about suboxone - that it works, but not for everyone - so ask for an addiction specialist when you call for your appt. Your husband is not allowed to see your records- that is the HIPPA law another writer wrote about. Good luck on trying to fight your addiction. The military has some of the best doctors in the country for this, as they have seen lots of this in vets and their spouses given the stresses of war.

NO-NO-NO!! Do NOT use Kratam... read this article, it was in msnbc just a couple of months ago: usnews.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/03/19/10760892-asian-leaf-kratom-making-presence-felt-in-us-emergency-rooms?lite

Go to a real doctor, get a real referral and a real prescription. You will be safe, you will be secure, and you will be proud of yourself for kicking this horrible habit. I have yet to go back to any kind of pain pill, going on 7 years now.

Get SUbs, take less each day, 4mg day 1, 3mg day 2, 2 mg day 3, and 1mg day 4-5,, that's what I just did after a one year perc frenzy about 300mgs a day and 40,000$ down the drain, the subs, mad weed, and some Xanax are all u need just use in moderation and you won't get hooked to any of the things you take to help.. In all reality none are anywhere near as good as roxys so if u rly had to get addicted to something might as well stay the pills bc a suboxone or Xanax addiction is retarded.. U need to just want it I decided I needed to quit and did it 3 days Later... Before that said I'm gonna quit soon every day for months.. Don't end up like me I am 2 weeks clean now but im out 30,000$ and a streetbike and I'm only 20 years old.. Went from addicted to money to addicted to pills f*** that far from worth it
