Need Some Information Asap.

Ok went to a New pain clinic yesterday and all went very well except one thing. They had me take a pee test and I wasn't worried about it in ANY way. Well all came back except one thing...it said I had methamphetamine in my pee.I have NEVER EVER in my life taking anything like that in my life. I was so upset I was beside myself. What would cause that to show up like that? Could it be a combination of meds that I am taking?.I am being to think I was set up because they also offer a counseling class that you have to pay for it you test positive. The bottle that I peed in was not in a sealed bag and I didn't see the nurse take it out of any sealed bag, also I just left it on the counter with the nurse after I was done and didn't see any tampering device on it afterwards. Monday I am going to my family Dr and getting retested...There is No way in hell I should have had that in my pee. It is mind blowing!!!I am a diabetic and i take insulin. Please if anyone has any answers let me know.

There was no seal on the bottle at all that signified it has not previously been opened? If that's so, personally, I'd have refused to use it. Even UA collection bottles that aren't for drug tests have that type of seal on them, when they are given to you.

And had you taken anything else, other than your insulin? Even over the counter products?

There are some that can cause false positives and they are well known to happen if the test being used is one of the less expensive, non-certified ones.

There was NO kind of tamper seal of any kind. I also to my regular meds which were my metformin ,my glimepiride,my lisinopril and my gabapentin. I take them everyday and thats it....I am going to get retested from a lab and take it with me my next visit. Thank you..untaimed
