Need Help Finding Doctor To Prescribe Either Oxycodone Vicodin Or Methadone 10mg For My Chronic Pain (Page 6)

I have been suffering from chronic pain for 7 years and have always been on and off pain meds from tylenol 3 to 90mg methadone at the worst of any ever taken. I decided to dose down & get off of methadone as I did not care for the "clinic" enviroment per say as I was using more for pain then for addicition. I found a dr that prescribed me the pain meds for breakthrough pain and the pill form of methadone 10mg was what I chose but now he is gone as he lost his license which sucks for me because NO ONE will give me anything, not even the methadone unless I go back to the stupid clinc and I so don't want that... DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A DR. that would prescribe anything or just something to get me through life with less pain? I am in the twin cities of Minnesota and I will drive if need be.

Does anyone know a Dr. in tacoma wash. area that will help me get off of methadone? I am 65 and I'm done. I want off all meds. I need a Dr that cares and will detox me off.

Please help, does anyone know of a Dr. In Bend, Oregon that will prescribe methadone for pain or anywhere in Oregon. Please help, I am bed ridden from chronic pain and am at the end of my rope. I used to have a decent life, played with nieces, dogs and horses, ran a small business. Then my Dr. retired and I can't find a replacement, I'm terrified. Please anyone?

first are you all dr's. who cares what sched a drug is other than 1 which are very tough if not impossible to get. different people react differently. Tramadol has a 0 mme (Morphine milligram equivalent) Methadone has an mme of 3, morphine is a 1. if your used to Methadone, Tramadol or Ultram might work for you but I wouldn't count on it. I've taken them both and 2 liquid gel Aleve a day work far better (down side, after some 20 years I know have Kidney damage). I am in remission from stage 4 throat cancer. I have a plate across 4 vertebra in my neck. I am now in need of opiates, from the cancer treatment I know what works. I'm almost 60, I don't like the way I feel on Opiates make me feel but am left with little choice. I've tried everything you can name over the last 40 years. Pain meds are all that is left. be watchful of what people suggest. ck with your Dr. unfortunately then you need to verify what your Dr says. Every time a Dr tells me "according to the DEA..." He is lying 90% of the time. I am anal about this and 100% of the time I find that if they do tell some portion of the truth it is only partial and twisted. collectively need to be held accountable. (put out of business)

Does anyone know of a doctor in northwest Indiana that prescribes controlled pain meds such as Norco or Percocet? After 8 years with the same doctor, he retired and I have been to a dozen doctors, pain clinics with no luck getting anything but injections and recommendations to other doctors and still nobody will help a disabled guy who has all the proof possible to prove my long term chronic pain. I live in the Hammond, INDIANA area and all the abusers have made it nearly impossible for a legitimate person to get what they need!

I just moved to Houston tx a couple of years ago I broke my hip and leg my doc in other state has me on dilaudid I need to find a doc that will write me my meds can anyone help me please??!!!??

Ashley Slatton, if your state expanded Medicaid you can apply for Medicaid. You aren't going to be able to find a dr that is going to prescribe you oxycodone and ativan. You may be able to see a psychiatrist for the ativan and a pain management dr for the oxydodone. If you aren't eligible for Medicaid, you will have to pay to sse your drs

I was going to a Dr that ended up getting his license pulled, and I have 3 ruptured vertebraes and spinal stinosis,and I also have a heart condtion called long qt that has required a pacemaker and a icd put in me. Now that the Dr that I was seeing got his licensed pulled I'm not getting the meds I was getting that had finally got my quality of life better which was only 2 10 mg oxycodone and 3 1 mg ativan and I can't find a Dr to take me in plus I don't have insurance. I need help desperately getting in a doctor.

KAY, a hand surgeon cannot guarantee that carpal tunnel won't come back. What is important is how long the carpal tunnel has needed surgery. If a patient waits too long it doesn't matter who does the surgery, it will come back soon. It is a simple surgery and many surgeons don't even put the patient to sleep. But carpal tunnel surgery, like any other surgery does have it's risks.

Listen, ask your Pharmacist if you can take the 2 drugs together, as they usually know mORE about drugs than the Doc, however I know you STILL need a script. Also, ask the pharmacist who prescribes these or perhaps which pain clinic does (they usually tell you). If one doesn't, ask the pharmacy manager or another pharmacy. Be vigilant & if you keep getting told they can't or they are NOT good together, then I guess I wouldn't keep trying if they are dangerous!! As far as the carpel tunnel, get the surgery! If you go to a HAND SURGEON, they do this all the time-and they are the experts doing a lot of this surgery, it will NOT come back. Some people go to surgeons that are NOT HAND DOCTORS & they are not as good.. You want a hand specialty Doctor so it will not come back! Go to hand therapy after for 2 weeks or so & you WILL be good as new. Don't wait forever because it just makes the surgery worse. It was the easiest surgery ever! You will probably need a "pain clinic" because you have to go every month to get percocet & others.Good luck to you!

For anyone on or looking to get methadone, STOP TAKING IT, DON'T USE IT, IT'S A KILLER. I took methadone for little over 4,years. That poison destroyed my stomach, intestine, and hard telling what else its done to my other organs. I took 100 to 125 mgs for that period of time.It also caused my esophagus to almost close shut called a structure which means narrowing, made it hard to swallow anything, even water.

I'm dying from this poison. I STOPPED OVER TWO YEARS AGO AND IT WAS JUST NOT SOON ENOUGH. IT'S VERY PAINFUL. ALSO THE DOCTOR WHO WENT DOWN INTO MY STOMACH SAID HE SEES THIS ALL THE TIME IN PEOPLE WHO ARE TAKING METHADONE. TELL ANYONE YOU CAN and most important NEVER LET ANYONE TELL YOU DIFFERENT.

ITS A DEATH SENTENCE. ALSO IT TOOK BASICALLY ONE YEAR TO GET OVER THE WITHDRAWALS AND SIDE EFFECTS, IF NOT CONVINCED LOOK INTO IT.

Elizabeth, see a Pain Management Dr and take a copy of your medical records from your pcp stating that you are allergic to tylenol. There are plenty of pain meds without tylenol in them. But, in all honesty, it more than likley is the other med you were given and not the tylenol. The only way to know for sure is to take Tylenol only. Your pcp should have known the ER would not believe what you said. ER's don't usually have access to medical records from drs that treat outside the hospital.

Yes my doctor sent me to the ER as she was on call and could not see me that day, she told me to tell them in the ER my allergies and definitely Tylenol , I explained this to the ER and they brought me 2 Tylenol , basically saying just what you had mentioned! So I trusting the Dr and his medical advice took the Tylenol and wih in half hour /45 minutes my breathing was out of control , rash all over my body ,hives needles to say I ended up with an O2 mask on .. My pulse was very high , the response front the ER was so insulting , as the very words said to me was ,oh my goodness I quess your PCP was correct and you did tell us you were allergic !!
I was so livid scared and crying so hard , I left ! Saw my regular Dr the next day and she called the ER right from our office visit !
When it sais Fatal from my PCP and in my charts had shown I had had the same reaction prior , thus being why it states fatal on my allergy to Tylenol !!!

Elizabeth, have you gotten a copy of your medical records from the ER and read them ? If you have and they indeed state that you have life threatening reaction to Tylenol ( acetaminophen) have you taken them to your doctor ? Chances are it is the medication that you were given that also contains Tylenol and not the Tylenol it's self that you are allergic to.

I suffer chronic pain, MY PAIN is non stop 24/7. Some days I cry from the constant agony of the pain, along with the thought of, why do I have to suffer like this, it feels so n humane. Some days I can get out of my house on these days I pay for the next week , because I had to force myself to get out and try and move around :'-( Please help me find a Dr who will prescribe Pain medication to me. I am fatal allergic to Tylenol, even been in the ER having a reaction to the medication given with Tylenol; finally on my list it states Tylenol and acetaminophen is fatal.. I'm so depressed and angry ever day, I am scared to think the rest of my days I'm going to live in torture. I'm 43 who took a bad fall. Herniated disk, my neck vertebrae has 3 disks slipped, both heal spurs, sciatic nerve pain, lower n upper severe burning pain in my back...Please help! I get inj's. they only minimize the pain for a few days :-(

Knotts , a copy of the patients medical records should indicate if a particular med works well. But, that doesn't mean a new dr will agree to the same meds.

I have chronic back pain neck pain nerve pain carpal tunnel or arthritis autoimmune disease uterine colon and bladder prolapse had uterine colon bladder suspension surgery 12 inches of my colon removed and looking for a pain doctor I've lived with my pain for over 10 years I have tried just about everything and the only thing that worked for subutex and Oxycodone together the only problem is doctors don't like to prescribe those two medications together does anybody have any suggestions 4 Whatcom County

Okay where do I start... I am 32 years old and I have chronic pain like no other first of all I had three major surgeries uterine colon and bladder prolapse uterine colon and bladder suspension 12 inches of my colon removed I have chronic back pain neck pain I have arthritis carpal tunnel autoimmune disorder I've been paid on a daily basis so much that I barely I have a life and I've lived with these issues for a long long time at least 10 years is anybody know of a doctor that will prescribe oxycodone is buprenorphine Subutex.? Because of how long I've been in pain I've tried just about everything there is to try to relieve my pain I even went years 5 years without taking anything and it was the worst time of my life then I finally found a doctor that was willing to experiment with medications and put me on buprenorphine Subutex and Oxycodone 10 milligrams and for the first time in my life I felt normal for three years I was on that medication and then the doctor stop prescribing it together because the FDA doesn't believe that the two medications can go together I believe that Subutex blocks oxycodone look for me I know that's not true for the first time in my life I felt normal I could deal with my pain and have a life. Is there anybody that can help me find a doctor that can prescribe medications together
