Need Help Finding Doctor To Prescribe Either Oxycodone Vicodin Or Methadone 10mg For My Chronic Pain (Page 5)

I have been suffering from chronic pain for 7 years and have always been on and off pain meds from tylenol 3 to 90mg methadone at the worst of any ever taken. I decided to dose down & get off of methadone as I did not care for the "clinic" enviroment per say as I was using more for pain then for addicition. I found a dr that prescribed me the pain meds for breakthrough pain and the pill form of methadone 10mg was what I chose but now he is gone as he lost his license which sucks for me because NO ONE will give me anything, not even the methadone unless I go back to the stupid clinc and I so don't want that... DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A DR. that would prescribe anything or just something to get me through life with less pain? I am in the twin cities of Minnesota and I will drive if need be.

Tramadol is now considered a narcotic drug! You have to take a physical prescription to your pharmacy... anyway in Tampa and St. Petersburg, FL.

Not trying to bring anyone down but starting two days ago the guidelines for prescribing opiates have changed. Most, if not all pain doctors will only prescribe the equivalent of 100mg of morphine a day which is nothing to chronic pain patients who have been taking much higher doses for many many years. I am in this position and ended up on a methadone program. It has taken away most of my pain and there are no highs and lows with it. I am not recommending it for anyone, just letting you know what worked for me.

Does anyone who will prescribe narcotics I'm in Charlotte no my primary stopped prescribing I'm in slit of pain I have diabetes very bad even had 3 toes removed the bottom of my legs r black. My current pain doc has me in pâté he's not helping at all . I had been in Percocet for years but these pain clinic emit per scribe them any ideas????

Need a pain doctor in southern nh to prescribe percoset for chronic back pain.
My Primary Care Doctor has informed me "it is to be MANDATED that individuals on daily high dose of opioids see a pain management specialist or someone board certified in addiction medicine to review and help mitigate any potential unintentional harms that may come with these medications".
I am currently happy with my current meds and do not want a doctor that will require i use non-opioid meds. I have and they do not work.

huey123456, were you in jail for drugs ? If you were, you more than likely won't be able to find a doctor that will prescribe you opiates. Even if you weren't the chances are not good of finding a doctor. What reasons have the doctors you have seen given you for not prescribing you opiates ? A lot may also depend on what you have been taking and how much.

I need a doctor in middle Alabama that prescribes pain medication. Have been to the center for pain in Montgomery. Not enough help after nerve blocks and hot spot injections. Had neck surgery that didn't help.

Just curious if you ever found that doc to rx you that 120 oxy 40s? lol Folks it's never going to serve you well to demand not only a specific med and dose on top of a quantity. In today's litigious environment no doctor will ever feel comfortable with such demands UNLESS of course he asks you what has worked for you in the past following an exam and appropriate evaluation protocol. Some good docs will rx meds but please don't hurt your chances by acting like a drug seeker cuz it destroys the chances for the rest of us. Thanks.

Just moved near Augusta ga and I'm in need of finding a doctor who has no problem prescribing pain meds.Been to a few docs it here who don't "believe" in prescribing anything for and "extended" time.

Magicman, Tramadol is a Schedule IV in Alabama.

In Alabama tramadol is a schedule 3 narcotic. It is in the same class as what hydrocodone was in. Now hydro is a schedule 2. It is now in the same class as oxycontin, dilaudid, percocets.

Live in Dover, pa. I had a doctor but he retired now I'm trying to find a doctor in York or Hanover who will prescribe narcotics for chronic pain cause I'm running into docs that don't like to. Does anyone have suggestion of doctor in my area who will prescribe narcotics for my pain.

Hi, yes on my ER records it states I am fatal with Tylenol , I literally cannot take a regular Tylenol. I ended up right back in the ER from talking just the Tylenol :-/
