my son wants to be on injections of vivitrol but tells me that the only way to get help is he has to go to rehab? is this true can his primary care doc help him? he is in MA

This June will be 4 years freedom from alcohol.!!!!!!! This was my miracle!!!! People look at me like I have 3 heads. So here's a new one I got. It says in the alcoholics anonymous literature. The only cure is a daily reprieve. There is no cure. Science may one-day accomplish this. But it hasn't done so yet!! They still say it!! There is a cure. It's not even a new drug. Why did I struggle for so long afflicted!! To the EDGE!!! Several times. Went to detox like 4 times. Extreme dui.
There is a lot to learn!! I've been so curious about this drug. It's now indicated as a weight loss medicine. This is a blocker. Nobody's even heard of naltrexzone. Hardly. Probably the 1%!!!!!
