My Norco Addiction Story And How I Can Get Help??

I've been addicted to Norcos for 2 years. It all started when I got a root canal done at 18 and was prescribed Vicodin. I couldn't take much time off work, do I went back to work and took a Vicodin at work to help me through the night without pain. Then I realized how amazing it felt to be on Vicodin at work; When my script ran out, i tried to buy Vicodin illegally, all anyone had was Norco, so that's how I got hooked on Norcos. I would spend rent money and bill money on Norcos. They were all I thought about. I didn't care about anything else as long as I was high. I came to refuse to go to work unless I was high. So if my source was out I'd stay home and withdraw until they had more. I was taking 10 pills a day. It was ruining my relationship with my fiancee. I was stripping more often to support my habit, when it started as a job I did completely sober because I thought it was fun. I was taking 10 Norcos a day when I finally got tired of being a slave to opiate addiction. I detoxed cold turkey, then started using again a week after I detoxed. Then I was taking 5 a day. Over a week ago I flushed the last of my pills. I couldn't take it anymore! My friend gave me suboxone to help the first couple days of detox. Now I've been cold turkey for almost a week and had the most intense of cravings I just want it to stop so I can get clean. I live in Los Angeles and I'm trying to find a cheap doctor to help me or give me suboxone. I have no health insurance. I don't have much $ either, and I have stopped working at the strip club bcuz it's too toxic an environment for me and will only hurt my progress. Can anyone help me find a cheap suboxone doctor in LA? Anything can help.

There is a website at Suboxone.com that has a search feature you can use to find Suboxone providers in your area, the problem however, is that it isn't cheap anywhere, it is still new and very expensive.

A cheaper and generally more accessible option would be Methadone. I don't usually suggest it, because many people end up having to take a lifetime maintenance dose of it, but it's better than continuing to abuse the other stuff.

Apparently you are still thinking about them. It's difficult to break that chain once your in it.

I was in 7 rehabs, and lined up connections while in.

Everybody is different, I can say this, any recovery has to start with you. You must become your strongest ally.
If the drugs have been more powerful than you, then you know what you must do to get away from them. In my opinion, there is no gentle ladder down. You must stop all drugs to succeed. I find that anything consumes my thoughts, no matter what, if it changes my sense of reality. I have been over my addictions for over a year, and have done it for over seven years, but thought I could have something else. If your asking why I am here, I found something in my asprin bottle, musta been near the bottom and was looking it up. I thank you for your frankness, I have a toothache from time to time, and was considering ALL the implications of visiting a near-by dentist - not the good side, and you provided that reminder I need to stay away, be my best friend, and be closer to where I look for help each night.
