Morphine And Prednesone

My rheumatologist gave me prednesone 10 mg Q.D
My Primary (PCP) gave me morphine sulfate 15 mg S.R. T.I.D
I recently was on methadone and prednesone, but I believe one cancelled out the other, or so it seemed to me. I so far do not think this will happen with the morphine and prednesone, but I have only been on the morphine four days.
Is ths in the literature? (methadone canceling prednesone )

Yes, you are correct. Prednisone is known to decrease the effect of Methadone due to its effect on a certain intestinal/hepatic enzyme.

However, there is no such interaction listed between it and the Morphine.

The Morphine, however, is a narcotic opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Thanks for the information. I was an EMT in 1974 then later a paramedic, so I do know a bit about medicine. Drug interaction is not my strong suit. My parents owned and operated a drug store for 37 years, so I do know what drugs do pharmacodynamics, etc. is something I try and keep up with the literature.
