I have been taking morphine sulfate 30 mg ER for 2 years and it just is not working for me anymore. My Dr prescribed me Hydrocodone 10 mg/650 every 6 hrs for break through pain. But it seems to make me ache and feel worse.. is there a stronger morphine dose I could take instead of taking the Hydrocodone.

there are a numbers of solutions for you to choose in this situation . i would need to know the severitys of your pain level and your injury before making a exact recommendation . however it seems as though the er morphine 60 mg worked for quite awhile for you and thats wonderful. your on a medium to low strength pain killer. . your doctor put you on hydrococdone for 2 or more reasons for sure. 1. hydrocodone is the least addictive out of the opiode family and 2. he wants to give you as little of narcotic as possible. . just enough to make the pain tolerable. in my next reply i will write a few suggestions. of medications and strengths. that you can research. to find what you think would be a good alternative
