I didnt know there was special prep for injecting Ms contin. I have probably injected around 30, of the orange 60Mg pills, just by crushing the whole thing and dissolving in hot water, never turned to gel. Ive been doing this for a few weeks, is that enough to cause damage to my veins, body overall?

This is what happens when you hit an artery in the neck.

The reason these and other types of pills are intended for oral use is precisely that.THEY ARE FOR ORAL USE ONLY!!! Major venous damage. If you want to "fix" so badly get the appropriate substance(s) and "knock yourself out!" It's an addiction all in itself (the desire to use drugs, almost any, IV-style) It is not healthy or rational to draw pleasure from "harpooning" yourself. I did it for over 15 yrs. Some damage is irreparable.

Sorry to hear that, sounds like kind of a low dosage 180 total morphine? Maybe the Doc thinks your to frail for more, especially with the valium I don't know. Maybe if thats it you can have the valium cut down and the morphine raised or get on a fentanyl patch. Good luck.

Yes If morphine is injected into a muscle or injected into the skin deeply, it will take three to five minutes to feel an effect.MS Contin contains wax which would probably not be to good for you, you can remove some of it by heating with water and cooling then the wax will float to the top and can be skimmed off. Its never a good idea to inject pills since they contain so many binders and stuff IM or Subbing your morph or other pills if not made for injection can cause nasty abcesses. these can leave large scars that possibly will last for years. At least try to take your time and get it as pure as possible. I tried subcutaneous injection in my thigh once with a crushed dilaudid I rushed through the filtering process. Now have a nice centimeter round depression where all the dead cells came out of with another inch of scarring around that and it looks exactly like I injected something there as well, hope my doc never sees it. Probably the best way is to plug it, unless you have a ampule or vial of pure morphine made for injection.

Since it appears impossible to get Dilaudid 8mg and my doctor gave me ms ir 30mg as a sub since oxy is in same boat as Dilaudid. I'm asking the true pain sufferers out there as I do not abuse my meds, is it worth trying the ms 60mg. I know it can't hurt, just wondered if I could expect better relief. When hospitalized and given Morphine injections I get very good relief. But does not seem to work well orally. And I would never be foolish enough to inject something meant to be taken orally. I am facing another major back surgery, in the coming month. Something I feel I must postpone unless I can find some adequate breakthrough medication. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

MS Contin 60mg ? Thats what I take. I've been taking opiates mostly oxycodone and dilaudid. Now I have a new Dr. who is scared to give me those and has finally conceded to give me the MS but he only gives me two a day until I can prove by having another MRI that after my operation I still have something wrong. And the morphine is not so good orally you only get like 40-50% of it compared to oxy with 60-85% due to heavy degradation of the morphine in the gut, plus oxy is 1 1/2 x stronger so these dicks at my Dr.s say I'm getting 120 mg of morphine and its the same as the 120 mg's of oxy I was getting before. I don't know if they're lying or stupid. But I do like it better if he would just give me enough of it. At least a dose equal to what I was taking of the oxycodone. As in 180 mg of morphine.

You poeple are sick and you ruin it for the people who really need medicine for pain and don't abuse it. Get a grip.

I just wanted to know if there was such a thing As ms IR. Nothing about ER and certainly nothing about injecting something made for oral consumption. I guess it is these drug abusers who are making it very difficult for legit patients to get their meds. When will people realize these drugs done any other way than by dr's orders can kill you. I guess there is no reason to care about addicts when not under doctors orders, but I do. Wise up out there. You people are not only hurting yourself, now you are hurting others. I'm sure this will do a lot of good....NOT!

Is this Immrdiate release I.e. MS-IR or is it extended release. ER. Point is moot now as I finally found a consistent supplier of Dilaudid 8mg. So, case closed.

u know not that i personqlly abuse pills but doctors round here give a person bout half what they need for acceptable pain relief. not that they should oblitarate the pain but a 7/10 is not acceptable. alot of those pain suffers decide to go about it in a diffrent way. its the docs fault for judging like hes a f@#%in god. who r we to tell anyone else what to do.

Sounds like your Dr. and my Dr. should get together and go bowling.

I agree with the problem that doctors are not willing to prescribe the amount of medication that is needed for pain relief. I am only 27 years old but I have degenerative disc disease (diagnosed at 17) which I didn't have much problem with until about 3 years into working as a nurse, I started having pain more and more often about 2 years ago. Soon enough I was living in chronic, daily pain. At this point, a second herniation was noted at L5-S1 (first diagnosed with L4-L5 herniation at 17) First of all, I went to the ER as I was in severe pain, unable to sleep, inconsolable and crying. This doctor in the ER said he highly doubted anything was wrong with my back- that I was too young to have a problem and no acute trauma. F***ing a**hole, I'm sorry but I disagreed and got an MRI and that is how the degeneration was seen. Anyway, now it's been over a year since the second herniation diagnosis and my pain was increasing and including neurological pain now where I am getting numbness, and pain shooting down my right hip and buttocks in particular-- at times down to my knee even. It took me months to convince my doctor that something was different about this pain. He kept trying to give me those stupid shots that do NOTHING-- actually I just had more pain after them if anything and I had a bad reaction where I became severely anxious and agitated due to the steroids I believe. So, finally I get another MRI and I hate to say that I was happy it was worse! It showed stenosis and massive impingement on the S1 nerve root and I felt like running to my doctor to show her the report and laugh in her face- -HAAHAHA look, there IS SOMETHING WRONG b****!!! Just because I am young does not mean I AM DRUG SEEKING- This is so ridiculous how long I have suffered and only now am at a "tolerable" pain level taking Avinza 30mg SR, Norflex 100mg ER, and Percocet 10/325mg twice daily as needed. I saw a surgeon and am planning to undergo a microdisectomy soon as it seems the fusions don't have much success and I will only wind up needing it again because of my age and how active I would like to be again!! ugh, what a nightmare. I wish for one day these judgemental people that go "omg, that's a lot of medicine" could feel what I feel EVERY SINGLE DAY. I have depression and anxiety as a result as well at this point- this has completely changed my quality of life and I am planning to work in this area in healthcare so hopefully I can help some other people that are truly suffering and do need this help- it's so messed up that people are abusing these drugs/system and ruining it for the people who really need this!!!!..... I am drug tested for my own drugs even, lol. I understand though that they have to do it at this point.... it's really sad. :(((

I've had a longstanding prescription for pain meds for years now. Started w/percocet& now MScontin for worsening condition. By accident I landed on a site today while researching side effects & was stunned to see that people are "plugging" the stuff! Ewww gross, first of all. There is no need to do that if it's a "high" you seek. I have probs swallowing pills, so one day a friend told me to crush the 60mg pill & mix it w/boiling water in a shot glass. Well, Mrs. Dumbass here did it. For the next 5 hrs. I was in LaLa Land. It hit immediately & took hold. Anyone who says that these pills don't make you high is obviously not getting the real thing. NEVER again here! Really & truly

Use sodium chloride for injection. The gel cannot attach to the morr phone in the presence of salt. You don't need a chemist. Any i**** on here claiming he has a chemist in his pocket, yet is shooting up pills is a bold faced liar.
