I used the prescribed Moviprep for my last colonoscopy prep. It was very hard to drink due to the bad taste. I thought I did a better job drinking the whole preparation this time around and yet after enduring this my bowel was not completely clean. I have just heard about the use of Miralax as a better tasting alternative. Any comments? ## I'm not sure that any laxative or medication really tastes good, unfortunately. Learn more Miralax details here. And I've never tried Miralax. However, you'd need to check with your doctor as to what's okay for you to use for such tests. One tip I can give you when taking something that doesn't take good is to take a deep breath, pinch your nose shut and then swallow it down as fast as you can. Smell is a very large part of taste, ...

Can you take this medication if you have high sodium levels? ## Contraindications for Miralax indicate that you should check with your physician IF you have a low amount of Sodium in the blood OR a low amount of Potassium in the blood. It doesn't appear to state how this interaction affects the medication; but controversially, if one has a low amount of Potassium in the blood, their sodium tends to be high. This isn't always the case, but it would be good to check Potassium levels just to be sure. One way to help prevent this is to decrease your intake of sodium rich foods (mostly everything that is packaged or frozen) and increase your daily intake of fruits and vegetables; particularly dates, figs, and bananas that contain high amounts of Potassium. If you do have high sodium ...

I am now using a stool softening product and have 4 oz of prune juice daily. If this does not help I take a xLax several times a week ## He should really consult his doctor, again. What medications is he taking? One, or more, of them could be contributing to the problem. Does he watch his fluid intake? How ...

Very fine white granual ## Need to buy 6 months of Mirolax do you have a source? ## No, I am sorry, this is an information only website. MiraLax is a laxative agent and really shouldn't be used for long of a time period, unless your doctor has recommend such and is monitoring your condition. Common side effects can include: nausea, gas and diarrhea. Did you have any other questions? ## I am 88 years of age and have had no problems with my bowels. I started taking Pristiq (not on it now) and ever since I have been constipated. I am trying mirolax (2nd day) and no results. Suppositories work fine--but I understand they shouldn't be used daily. Once I can get started to have a movement, it is normal. Just getting started is the problem. Have you an answer?

I am on 90. MG What can I do? ## Have you tried discussing this with your doctor? It would not be safe for us to try and recommend anything, this site is not medical professionals and have no way of knowing your medical history. Perhaps someone else with experience using this drug can post more info? ## have itchy red bumps occurring over much of the body. I take nefedipine along with hydrochlorothiazine ...
