Metoprolol And Nightmares?

Has anyone experienced nightly nightmares that seriously disturb sleep while taking this medication.

I also began having bizarre dreams (March 2017) and don't want to sleep at night! I can't continue like this...I want off this drug!

I took Metoprolol ER 50mg for 5 weeks. Detailed dreams (many in color and sometimes 3-4 different ones a night) and my blood pressure got worse. Went to the Doc and complained and he said my BP was 220 on the top (I didn't hear the bottome number-I was in shock). Have been on something else now for 4 days and my BP is great and no dreams.

I have insomnia a lot. Nightmares almost every night. and they make me miserable. They seem to go on and on. Headaches during the day. I was a person who never had headaches and was a very sound sleeper. I always joked that you could take the bed out from under me and I wouldn't know it. Not any more!

ABSOLUTELY.... I started having bizarre dreams as soon as I started to take it. I then progressed to very vivid nightmares and now I do not want to sleep because of it. Not the wonder drug they say it is. I want off it and as soon as I can convince my doctor, I am getting as far away from it as I can. It also has caused me to gain over 30 pounds and I am far from a couch potato.
