Hello, my son was prescribed this medication and because he has been a drug abuser in the past I'm wondering if this medication can be injected. Originally it comes in a large red capsule that contains time released granules. Can anyone please tell me if he will be able to inject this medication as injection is his method of choice? My story is like most others out there, starting taking pain killers and became mentally and physically addicted over time. My use went on for more than 10 yrs. and 1 yr ago I decided to get help. My friend had been on methadone for about 3yrs now. Takes 150 mg dose. Before he used to get 2 weeks of take homes and since he changed clinics they only allow one week at a time. I have noticed that the day he would get his take homes from the clinic he would start acting pretty weird. For example: fast movements, flushed face, scratching his head or rubbing his face, make clicking sounds, unable to stand in one spot, constantly doing something but complaining about feeling tired. He blames it on feeling tired and not getting enough sleep. I once caught him taking a little extra methadone from one of his other doses. I have no clue what happened and/or why this is? I am 40 years old and these nurses are 25ish. One is brunette and one is blonde. Hi there I am in a very precarious situation and my liberty is at stake as I am an a Dtto. I have tested positive for benzos even tho I have only taken them maybe 3times in 14 months I had a lab test done last week and it come back clean but I was tested the day after and it showed false positive and it is driving me insane. I have been takeing methadone 10mg 3 times daily for 4 1/2 years. I moved to Sacramento and my new doctors office will not perscrib it to me. I asked them ok then can you wean me off slowly. My husband has been on methadone 10mg for 5yrs. Has MRI..having trouble finding a doctor who will prescribe it because of all these new rules. he is also on 300mg of neurontin a day. and 30mg of methadone a day...or was....referrell dr cut him off cold turkey . supposed to c a dr in new albany but it could be 2 months. And we don't even know if this dr even prescribes methadone. Methadone has worked the best for him because it has a shelf life and he doesn't have to take a bunch of pills. he has spinalstenosis and sciatica. I feel awful for him. Hi. I live in Bergen County, NJ. I was a passenger in an auto accident years ago resulting in spinal compression fracture w ruptured ligaments and bulged discs in my neck. I have undergone every therapy available including over 2.5 years of Physical Therapy. I, myself am a therapist but can no longer work due to the pain. I have taken pain meds off and on over the years w out any addiction as I'm aware of dangers and how to prevent. My Dr is under review at this point regarding another patient and is no longer able to prescribe my pain medication that I did not take daily but when needed to function around the house. I had been on methadone for 4 years for several health conditions. I live in Victoria B.C. and Feb. 2013 i went into detox so i could get off this ball and chain as my family wanted me to move back home to them, over 3,400 miles away. Those plans had fallen through so i am still in Victoria. I had been clean for 4 months and noticed i was felling more of my physical pain and my girlfriend offered to help me by giving me 15mls aday for the past 7 months, now she is moving out of province and i have become addicated and scared. I need help bad. I called River Oaks 3 times a week since last July and I cannot get a bed, other then that there is no other help in New Orleans. I am tired and I see no point on going on living like in severe pain. My Dr put me on 10mg methadone one. 6× a day and oxycodone 30mg 4× a day for chronic pain the methadone doesn't help my pain a bit and takes away the little relief I get for a couple hours from the oxycodone.I told her the methadone doesn't help my pain a bit but she doesn't believe me. ## Hello, Smokedawg! Wow,people hating being on methadone how f,ing hard is that to understand.The most common response,why did you get on it or stop if you hate it so much?I will answer both of those questions first they thought they were being treated for their addiction but just had it replaced with a more addictive drug(yes methadone is a drug so your not clean when your on it).Why don't you quit?because they can't.clinics are financial institutions they want your money,imagine going to McDonald's and ordering a burger, and cashier says no you don't want that it's bad for your health."I am happy to be on methadone,I'll be on it for the rest of my life"?does anybody know the long term effects of methadone use.yeah why would anyone possibly hate methadone?!!!!

I am currently on Subutex and alprazolam I went to rehab and they almost killed me trying to detox me.They had no idea how to detox me.I did not eat for 2 weeks and did not sleep and was hallucinating.I want back on Methadone at least I know they can take me down slowly and successfully.Subutex is a killer if you are on it GET OFF QUICK!!!!! ## Hello, Sandra!
