Can anyone help a man in pain? I'm in search of a doc that prescribes methadone. My Dr. moved to another state. Please any advice? I live in Philadelphia. Pa. . ## Advanced Urgent Care. City Ave. ## I myself go to an Urgent Care and know for a fact they do prescribe Methadone. My mother is prescribed 10mg of methadone with 15mg of oxycodone for chronic back pain. I have back pain but am only prescribed 20mg of oxycodone. No appointment necessary they take walk-ins and are open 7 days a week. the doctors there are very helpful and caring. hope this helps...

I need to find a doctor willing to prescribe Methadone. I was in a car accident in 2009. Ihave been through the ringer with different doctor's & many different meds but Methadone seemed to work the best. I have been with my present Doctor for 2 1/2 years!! and on oxy 40s and Norco 10-325 for the amount of years, they no longer have the long time affect to get me through my day.. I have 2 young children including a 9 month old. I need HELP!! my doctor says he is worried in prescribing me a Methadone because of the "addicting" purpose..but sorry doc. what do you think the oxys or even the Norco do? Go to their website and look it up. ## BL is correct, the rules are the same. If he was taking it for addiction/maintenance treatment, then regular doctors have never been able to prescribe it for that. That can only be done in a clinical setting by those specially trained in its use for such. And for pain, the new regulations concern all narcotics, not just Methadone. Can anyone tell me of any doctors who prescribe Opiate Pain Medication In The Pittsburgh PA Area. Ever since my PCP moved out of state, I've been having trouble with Dr's treating my chronic Arthritic Condition First hip replacement at 28. The other side done 4 years later. Hi. I've been on a methadone program for 3 years now and I was tested yesterday for a pre job test and was positive for opiates and I know for a fact that the only drug I've taken in 3 years is methadone. Is it because I'm on such a high dose that I tested positive for opiates? ?

They will not give take homes when you first start to go to the clinic. You have to prove yourself over a period of time to get take homes. I just moved to WV and need a Dr. That will prescribe methadone. Because I don't want to go to a methadone clinic ## If you're using it for addiction treatment, then you have no choice but to go to a clinic as it is against the law for private physicians to prescribe it for addiction treatment. I have some hair that I collected after my son 19 yrs old, and they claim it was a methadone overdose however urine and blood was negative for any drugs. they said they did a gas chromatography and they claim a small amount was found. I have MD's that are friends and pharmacists and they disagree with the findings. at the funeral home there was blood oozing out of his right ear. I am an ICU RN and pt's I have had pt's that have taken methadone and their urine shows up positive for opiates.

I have been taking 120mgs methadone and 90mgs oxycodone per dium for20yrs....pain doctors come and go, but I'm here for the long haul. March 3 2013 I can't find Methadone anywhere in Jacksonville FL. I've searched for five days and have called dozens of pharmacies and visited several that would not tell me over phone ## Unfortunately, the ones that did tell you over the phone likely weren't being honest, anyway. It is far too dangerous to tell anyone if they do have it in stock, due to the high risk of theft of narcotics, so they will usually just tell you that they don't have it, or don't carry it. They have no way of knowing if the person on the phone is a legitimate customer with a prescription or not, so they only way to get an actual correct answer is by visiting the pharmacies in person, with the prescription in hand. And there are some crazy problems going on all over the east coast right now...

Hi, I was taking 40-100 mg of Percocet a day- I weaned off and took about 10-40 mg of hydrocodone a day. I was feeling sick and got 10 mg methadone pills. I took 20 mg the first night-I did get a euphoric feeling and woke up with a terrible headache.
