Please be careful, especially if you're going cold turkey, there can be a slight risk of seizures from the withdrawal, especially if you were on a very high dosage. Just to let you know, you're not alone going through this. Many of people have gone through this including myself. I was on 110mgs of methadone and tapered down to 24mgs. I was on methadone due to pain and addiction issues. My problem was when I got down to 24mgs I was going through some pretty bad withdrawals. My doctor prescribed me suboxone to help with the withdrawals. The main thing is to taper VERY slowly so you feel the least bit of withdrawals. Methadone is a very strong medication and some people require a life time maintenance dose. I hope everything works out for you. You've come so far. Any other question...

Moved to western North Dakota from East Coast. Have been prescribed methadone for 15+ years to treat legitimate pain. Have taken same dose for last 8 years; (100mg/day). If anyone lives in this area if the country and might have a name for me, it would certainly help as I search for a physician. I have my records for every year of pain treatment, including tri annual drug panels (always + for proper med/dose), all Rx records with same pharmacy, and haven't ever needed script filled early, I take meds exactly as prescribed, and just want to create a positive relationship with a new physician who can see that I am a trustworthy patient and just want treatment for my pain. But I didn't find any interactions listed between raspberry and Methadone. Ive been using Methadone for chronic pain for over 7 years. I went through the full gambit of Opioid medication and always got to the point of abuse to function. After 11 surgeries and 2 full knee replacements I'm at the end of my rope. The cost for trying to feel like moving every day has become too expensive. I need to find an alternative. If I say things like this to a M.D.. he'd make me see a PHD and that would be on going and more expensive. Please help me find an alternative. ## Hello, Bill! How are you? I have been prescribed methadone 10mg 360 tabs a month for chronic nerve damage in my back and right leg. Ive been prescribed methadone for 4years by the same doctor. Just this month my Dr has been ill and has canceled all appts. What should i do? Do you know of any drs. Private doctors are not allowed to prescribe ti for that under the current laws. I found a small Amber colored bottle with a very small amount of water in it with a small white pill, what would this be? ## It might be Methadone, some clinics dose that way, they dissolve the tablets in water and usually in bottles just like the one you've described. My wife is a chronic pain patient & is proscribed Roxane Methadone 10mg. it is next to impossible to find it now days.Of course she has a RX for it and has been taking it daily for a number of years. Helli I have been on methadone for a little over a year. My stable dose was 60mg. Over the past 5 months I have finally gotten down to 11 mg and Have been doing great. They are saying its going to tale another 2 months to come down from 11mg droping 1 mg every 5 days. With school starting and my husband working having 1 vehicle its interfering with getting him to work and girls to school on time. Im having to drive a hour to dose. I talked to the nurse and asked how bad I would feel if I just stoped at the 11mg she said no worse then I feel now. Mind you I feel great, my bodu has adjusted to tje detox and its been a smooth ride since ive started detoxing. Minir leg cramps and naseau at the begging is the worse of my symptoms. I am a chronic pain suffer. Had spinal fusion in 12/72 L4 thru S1 are or were fused solid. Old style fusion massive bone build up huge triangle just above my tail bone. As fine did great no Dr no meds no nothing until I fell on my button 2/88. All Hell has broke loose. My pain has gone crazy. Gets worse and worse and finding help is getting next to impossible. The original fusion was the results of the Vietnam war injury. I finally broke down and went to the local VA hospital. After being on methadone and Oxycodone for over 8 years the Dr there scared me to death. Tells me methadone on its own for no unknown reason can stop your heart! I have been taking 40 mg of methadone and 10 mg of vicodin for eleven years. I suffer from adhesions and have had twenty six syories. My pain doctor cut my methadone to two five mg for thirty days with twenty mg of perocet. I had one methadone left due to going out of state and had an unforseen extended stay. I took the methadone, when I was given a drug panel my pain doctor said it did come up and he reduced my meds to one 5 mg percocet. I suffer terribly now and my family also suffers. Taking methadone 10 mg 2x day for 3 month & oxycodone 10 mg 3x day for 3 years. Have pancreatitis, severe spinal stenosis & spondylosis. Took 10 mg methadone & 10 mg oxycodone as prescribed. About 1 hour before surprise saliva test I repeated this for agonizing headache & neckpain. QUESTIONS; will second dose of each drug register on saliva test in one hour? Lastly, Dr. said "saliva test was to check how all my medications were working or try something else." Is this a real test (check to see how meds are working?) Is it just a cover for detecting other things? I'm only taking oxycodone & methadone!
