What company makes these ASC 116 and when did they come out on the market?

I've been on methadone for 10 years consecutively; been thru several different pills. Really no big difference if any at all. Most of this is probably due to other factors. Ever have a day where u know u took ur full dose of medicine but feel terrible? Or took less than usual but feel surprisingly well? This is because there are an endless amount of physiological factors that can effect how you feel. Good luck to all. Stay positive!

I have been on methadone for fifty years. Have taken about every kind there is.. Presently am taking 175 mg. of red liquid. Top dose has been 250 of yellow biskets
(really diskettes). Over the years have been in hospitals and taken every variety of white tablets; triangles, green. Methadone is methadone is methadone. I don't care what color shape or format (liquid vs. tablets). It's always been right. For fifty years I've been hearing, This stuff isn't holding me. Relax. You can think yourself into withdrawal.

Ill explain this ome time no pne knows what the hell is going om with meds and different manufacturers its a business just like all med treatment and every service in this country. So in closing ill say the government does whatever and no pne really knows wtf is real or necessary. Get a clue people.

Why are all these pharmacies suddenly using new stuff , tosave money its all about money fr drug companies and kickbacks its real greaseball crap. No one is trying to help the patient amymore.

There is definetely a difference, my skin has been crawling and I couldn't figure out what was going on because I don't pay attention to my meds, I just take as prescribe, I am only on four a day but let me tell you I have never been through this and I literally felt like I had bugs under my skin. I definetely don't recommend trying these.

Wow, I couldn't have said it better myself. The only difference for me is I've been on it for 26 years and haven't needed a dosage adjustment for 23 of them. 110 mg allows me to function in a healthy way. Some folks seem to forget that nodding out is not an indication for usage established by any manufacturer (including generic) and especially by your prescribing physician. In a nutshell these perceived generic insufficiency's only add to illicit poly addiction sometimes leading to death. As is true with many things it's mind over matter but if you don't have a mind it doesn't matter. Continued poly drug use will guarantee that sad euphemism a reality. Have a Happy 24 and more to you fine people.

I have a question? If my dose of liquid methadone is 100mgs do I take 10 methadone pills (asc 116)? How long do these pills last cause I'm in withdrawal right now & don't wana waste these pills....HELP!! How long do the pills last? Is it 24hrs just like the liquid??? HURRY THANX IN ADVANCE

Sadly daw pertains only to the brand name vs. generic equivalent that the doctor writes for. Almost all meds approved for generic equivelency manufacturing allows multiple entity's be equally represented so by a docs daw for a certain generic company constitutes favoritism and violates several anti trust laws issues. However you as the patient have the right to request the generic drug by company name if they stock it and have a relationship with said generic company particular.

So far so good at consistently get Roxane brand at CVS. Seems thats the only methadone brand they carry...at least in my neighborhood.
The ASC brand should be banned.
Each to our own opinion. Hope everyone gets pain relief somehow and God bless us all. Chronic pain robs us all of a decent life. Worrying about medications, how to pay for them, doctors treating us like crap and be accused of being addicts .....it's heartbreaking and depressing.

Good I'm glad your pharmacy carries your generic brand of choice. At the end of the day all that matters is your comfort and liberty to live a pain free life is realized. Any time taking away from that Liberty is atrocious and sets us back to the dark ages. We can always differ on ideology so long as the suffering are adequately medicated.

maybe one is generic and the other is the original. i find generics aren't the same with the drug effects. Also i mix up different pain killers. just by changing the pain chemical makeup will help with pain relief. your body gets used to the chems and a change helps out in relief. I have been on them all and I was last on Morphine generic and i didn't think it work well. i changed to Methadone and that works better and longer. easier to detox on Methadone but the point is to be pain free. If u had high blood pressure , u would be taking BP meds for the rest of your life. is that an addiction too?U take meds to give you a life worth lifing. People not in pain 100% of the time don't understand and will call u names like "drug addict" etc, it hurts. if u are not walking in my shoes then shut up.!!!! Good luck but enjoy life, it goes by fast and no one should tell u different. :)

Same here, these pills don't seem to be consistent, some months there OK and other months I feel like my body is fighting withdrawal, and constant pain, I hate these ones, of I had the choice I would always take the other ones, I think these are placebo that they screw with the dose with, they SUCK!!!

I had three major back surgeries at MD Anderson in Houston, TX in 2010 to completely remove my sacrum due to Sacral Chordoma cancer. After returning home to Idaho, I was put on Methadone 5m twice a day marked MALI. It worked very well for me but then the last couple of months it seems my body was acclimating to it and so my Dr. prescribed 10mg twice a day. I just presumed it was the same manufacturer. Within three to four days I started feeling bad. Itchy skin, light headed, fatigue and nauseous...and the further I went the worse it got. After about two weeks I felt so bad that I could literally not go to work. I was in bed for 2-3 days. I thank God my wife found this thread/forum. It explains everything I have been feeling. I had some of the older MALI pills and went back to them starting last Thursday. It's been slow, but things are getting better. I am seeing my Dr. today and asking to simply double up on the older MALI brand. I will not take another ACS. It was very bad...and I still have a bad time with some anxiety, lightheadededness and fatigue in the mornings for maybe five hours after I wake up. I just hope that ultimately goes away with going back on the other brand. I am not a physician and cannot explain why...all I can say is that it happened and I was getting progressively worse until I found this information on this site and stopped taking them.

You should NEVER call anyone a liar unless you have personal experience to bring to the table. I have the EXPERIENCE and KNOWLEDGE you are lacking. Brands make a HUGE difference. In my experience ascend brand are the absolute worst for pain. They do not cause withdrawal for me, however I do get headaches. It seems this particular generic is designed to keep you from being sick, not for pain management. Roxane brand is decent, however I choose not to use that particular brand because it makes me feel high, it does work for pain, just not for very long. Malickrodt brand is AMAZING. It doesn't make me feel high and keeps the pain away for the time stated and works the way this medication *methadone* was designed to. Before you judge someone harshly and call them a liar; you should should be objective and listen to what they have to say. Just because someone is on methadone doesn't make them a liar scum bag junkie. I've been on it for about eleven years and I am neither. Please bring an open heart and open mind with you in your career.

Ok, just took the new asc116 for first time about 45 mins ago. You all have me worried now. Have been on 80mg a day for about 7 years now. My Dr. Is a family friends and is bluntly honest about generics--buffed guidelines. They are allowed 20% window in either direction--for example, your 10mg methadone generic could be 12mg or could be mg, would be legal. Anyway, my doctor never stops going on about all the fraud that goes on with generics,how some of them could Literally every ducking sugar pills. They'd never get away with this s*** in Europe, and while living there never paid more than $25 for any script (with no insurance coverage). Now you all have me nervous. The little squares with score in middle and the M were fine. If these really are weaker, I'm going to start taking Tagamet to amplify effects. Fug...:(

All that I really meant was that one guy said he isn't the same as a drug addict who has been on Methadone for 10 years because he is in pain and not a junkie wouldn't be right. Regardless of the reason a person started to take Methadone both people taking them for 10 years will go through withdrawals if they try to stop taking them or any other Opiates that someone would come off of. So one is no better than the other.

You're totally wrong. Each pharmaceuticals company buys their ingredients from different sources. Yes there may well be 10mg like all the others but what about the quality of the ingredients... what about the way they make them?? These things can make a difference. That is basic chemistry dude. You can mix the same compounds in a slightly different way and end up with more than one outcome...
