What company makes these ASC 116 and when did they come out on the market?

I've been on the malikraut (not spelled right I know) 10mgs for 12 yrs and last week I got my monthly filled and it was these ASC 116 circle tabs. I did not notice until i got home and the pharmacist did not say anything about the change. I have been taking them for one week now and I can't tell a difference. I will admit I worried about it but I can't say anything changed.

Mallinkrot is the best in people's minds cause their shaped like little coffins.. Roxane and Asend are all the same s***. Opiates and opiods are a mind f*** and if you think any different then you need to learn about addiction

Is anyone having issues with these pills coming apart? I am having an issue where the top with the imprint code is shearing off. So I have this paper thin round pill it's the print code, but is only 1/4 a pill thick. The other 3/4 of the pill is in the bottle I guess. I look at other pills in my bottle and you can seexq crack around the pill on the imprint side like they are getting ready to shear off too. Weird, never had this brand before.

Clearly you don't tske meds there's a difference just lije Xanax generic are better than real green generic sucks round generic are better than football shaped generic you think people are picking meds for shape not people pick what feels stronger and works

I have been on methadone for 10years. I have tried them all and all I can say is. Whether it's in your head or because of in active ingredients I feel there is a difference. Not if one.is stronger than another but how your body takes it. I have been taking the coffin ones for two years & last month I got the asc 116 and I felt different. I talked to my doctor& he believes it's because my body got used to the inactive ingredients. So remember it depends on your body any.other medications you are taking and your life style.you know your body so listen to it.

why would you openly say they were lying,that's rude...Your intelligent enough to use the kings English in a more intelligent way.....encouraging manner.....that's merely an assumption that they're lying ..if it was to save your life...saying for sure... that their lying...you'd be in trouble

livelife you are exactly right, I had been on the boxed ones too for about 2-3 years and then in late 2013 I got those ascend in my prescription and not only did they not help my pain at all they gave me the shakes..I called my pharmacist and told him and he then thought that was going to be the only one available from thenon.Thankfully he was wrong I haven't got another one yet and hope I never do..As a matter of fact when I got those after taking them I posted if anyone else had the same problem? At that time I didn't receive any responses so I'm assuming they were pretty new and no one else had gotten them yet..

Wrong. The pharmacist is half right... These manufactures use different binders to combine the chemicals together which then may have a different release time I different people.. It all depends on the person. Chemical make up and digestion

Are you kidding me, I hope I never get you to fill my meds. The brand makes a major difference. This brand Asc is horrible. This makes the 3rd month and they do not work the same. I take methadone for pain management not for getting off drugs. I live with several hermiated discs that cant be fixed. And I have been in constant pain begging my dr to let me change pharmacy's. He finally will let me switch next time and I pray I find a rx that has the other 2 brands. Which work perfect. I take the same dose and have been for several years. But this brand I hurt and yes I feel withdrawals and sickness.

I gotta call bs on ANYONE who says a generic is the same as name brand as generic 10mg is 10mg down the line is bs!... The FDA allows a product to be 80-85% of what it says on its label especially in PKs and I have been taking meds since age 17, 36 now and the generics are different from one to the next and it is in a person head to some extent but if they are taken and tested I know they would not all come out at 10.0000mg bc they don't have to. But personally in my head and liver, I prefer Aurobindo Percs, Mallinckrodt Methadone and Greenstone Xanax Bars. thnx a Hole bunch lol

I too have been using the ones you mentioned with very good results. My pharmacy gave me the asc116 the last two times I went and I have had a very noticeable change in my pain management. The first thing I saw was that the asc116 are not the same size as the 54s. The next thing I had happen was the effects of the asc116 wore off sooner. It's a big difference for me. I have taken the medicine for many years with good results but this new one f does not do as well for me. I have went to several drug stores trying to get the original ones I was used to without any luck.

Rectangles are the best of them all in my opinion. And I've tried the wafers and the liquid methadone as well. Milligram for milligram rectangles are the champs!!!!

I definitely have plenty of experience with these issues. Having been addicted, for well over 12 years,before I was finally given the Methadone... I have terrible back and leg pain; sciatica and various lower back pain. Since I began taking the Methadone about 6 years ago, I have had all three of these brands. The Mallinkrodt is what I was started with. The 54 142 is what I would be given, once in a while, when I had to go to a different pharmacy, & the (Ascent brand ' or whatever it is' )- is what I had once or twice, when the other two could not be found.
I always go for the Malinkrodt brand, before I even consider any other brands. I have been going to the same pharmacy for all the years I've had this medication, & when THEY don't have it in stock, & may tell me that they DO have the 54 142's - & will get the former in, say, 2-3 days: I will actually wait till then. If it is something that is WAY too long to wait, and would be ridiculous to wait, then I will go with the latter... but if the only thing that is available is the ASC 116, I will try and go to various other pharmacy's until I at least find ONE of the other two. If I cannot, then I will reluctantly settle for the 3rd option (ASC 116). I've found that with the 54 142's & the ASC 116's - THEY are the ones that melt on your tongue practically as soon as you put them in, so you really want to try and swallow it as soon as possible, so that your not wasting like 1/3 of it on your tongue or in your mouth.
There ARE drawbacks, as well as positives, when it comes to the "Round" Methadone pills... namely, the fact that they begin to work within an Hour. (Actually for me, I have them down to EXACTLY 1 hour), but then they only last about half as long as the Rectangle one (Mallinkrodt). Whereas, with the Mallinkrodt one(Rectangle) - it will (for me) always begin to work in 2 Hours, & then ensues to work for practically the entire day. I know that some of us would like to take more than just the 1 or 2 for the day, but if you HAD to do this, & really had a very little supply; you can at least count on this one to not let you down for that entire day. I would even go as far as to say that, into the next day - you're still not going through any rough withdrawal. Esp. if you take it in the later afternoon, then the next day - if need be, you could go a while, before taking the next dose without having to suffer too much withdrawal... if any. If you happen to be inconvenienced & you have a very small supply - it's THIS brand that is the best to disperse around & take sparingly... not having to overtake them, to keep from feeling crappy.
Though, again, there are definitely those of us who DO want to overtake them, or at the very least - take them more than need-be; & if you HAVE the means and the supply, then you can do this w/out too much worry (other than - of COURSE - the worry of hurting yourself..... so in no way am I recommending doing that!!) So, once again - The Mallinkrodt (to me) is def. the best brand for a bunch of reasons. Chief amongst them: They last far longer. They are more stable and reliable. They're (to me, seem) Stronger & just more potent and steady. {Some downsides: 1. Once you go about 2-3 days without taking them, you begin to go into a more potent withdrawal... & after about 5 days, there is DEFINITELY a very bad withdrawal feeling; 2. They, above the other two brands, tend to leave you with worse constipation problems. This, as well as other issues having to do with bodily functions, are likely a result with the fact THAT they are the most potent, and long lasting.
The NEXT brand would be 54 142 (I think that is what they are); they work nearly as good as the Mallinkrodt, while they don't have the exact same potency and lasting effects - they are definitely the closest. 1. If you're looking for something to kick in for you as quickly as possible - than it would be this brand. With (the rectangle's), it takes about 2 Hours... with these, it takes between 45 mins. -to- an hour (for ME, it's always 1 Hour). It might even give you a bit of a better "peak", which may be like 2-3 hours after you initially take it, & it may last(the 'peak') about 30 mins. (sorta like a Percocet would) - as with the Mallinkrodt... if you're REALLY searching for things like "peaks" - then you MAY be a bit disappointed, though I guess there is one, maybe for about 10-15 mins, but it's really barely higher above what you feel during the entire (fully working) duration of the benefits from the medication. 2. Another upside is that you won't have as much trouble with constipation, as with the (rectangle one), though of course, as with any type of medication like this, there is always the chance of it... while the 'crash' and the 'withdrawal' is always bad, no matter what it is you take; I've found that with this brand it isn't quite as rough. Mostly, & likely because you really never get quite as "involved" as you do with the (Mallinkrodt - brand). (drawbacks: 1. again, if you don't take it fast enough, and let it sit in your mouth, there's a huge chance that you're gonna lose a good portion of it, as you WILL swallow part of it, you wind up having about 1/3 - 1/2 of it stick in you mouth, or you spit it out (unintentionally). As it will "kick in" in about an Hour, this usually doesn't stick around for more than 6 hours or so, before you're pondering taking another one; & Definitely, you're not going to wake up the next day & feel like you don't REALLY need to take another one... (though, I'm definitely NOT saying it is ANYTHING like if you were taking Percocet's or worse (Oxycontin's) - where you're thinking about taking the damn thing while you're still dreaming. THANK GOD it's not anything like that. I guess you CAN wake up, and not HAVE to take one, but just saying that with the 'Mallinkrodt' - you'll typically wake up next day and far less, be thinking about having to take one soon.
Anyway - the 3rd & final one, would be the ASC 116's. I'm not really quite as familiar with these as I am with the first two brands, but I DO have Some knowledge on them. They are MUCH like the 54 142's - in many of the same qualities and lack there of, I mentioned... Same (will melt on your tongue fast); same (works in about an hour); (same - works for a much shorter amount of time than Mallinkrodt) - & (same, less of a lasting 'bodily impotence' issues -- having to do with Constipation, & other bodily things, & genital related issues). I HAVE found that they seem to do SOMETHING, with energy... like they have caffeine in them ore something (which for me, is NOT a good thing -- I don't do well with "pick me up type things). I could be wrong, but usually I can pick up if I took something that has ANYTHING that gives me, or affects my energy or whatever. And it's never good (that's why I can tell, because I don't feel right). Anyway, with these, it seems to me that they are the least affective ones. As someone had mentioned before, there are active ingredients & also 'in-active ingredients... & I FEEL like with this brand, there are much more "IN Active" ingredients involved. What they are, is the question (especially as opposed to the other ones... I believe that RIGHT IN THERE, lies the problem or solutions. I didn't really get all into that aspect, but it's also something that is pretty prevalent.
LASTLY, (which should have been firstly, and mostly) - there is the pain relieving aspects. Definitely, Mallinkrodt(rectangles) work well with pain, & in them is (I believe) the best pain management meds.
The 54 142's - also work well for pain. But, as ONE of the reasons why I hold out for the other one first - it's not really quite as good as the (Mallinkrodt/rectangle); Maybe it has that 30 mins of time where it relieves pain better than any of them, but overall throughout about 4-6 Hours (to start with), this one is 2nd Runner up. But it isn't really al THAT bad. I wouldn't turn it down stone cold, & especially if I was just trying to have something for the pain ALONE; I was in all kinds of bad pain & nothing else was there to be filled (it's No question - I fill it).
The 3rd one, as far as pain reliever... I can't really answer that one all too well. To be honest, I had a few of them put into my filled prescription, & after taking the first-mentioned ones, I wound up taking these (same day) & I could tell you that I definitely felt some strange feelings. It seems like with them, you are more amped (or something along those lines). It actually seemed to TAKE away, from the GOOD ones, I had taken earlier in the day, but AGAIN - it COULD all be in my head; as I mentioned, I really don't know much about them... aside from that they're SUPPOSSED to be the SAME EXACT thing (same MG's/ Same strength/ same effect/ and same Duration) - as the other's. This is something that I just TRY and believe, and just TRY and tell myself, but it's hard, because it just seems to feel different. I can't sit her and LIE ( that last one "ASC 116" - it just SUCKS! (period).
(IF it were the LAST brand of this on Earth, though, I WOULD take it, but I'd be pretty miserable about it).
VERY SORRY for this being longer than crap... I thank you if you had the patience to actually read through it, & I definitely appreciate if anyone would want to comment back on any of it, especially if you saw some things in there that you yourself thought, the same way (or even if you didn't).

I would like to say I have been on methadones for over five years and I get the coffin shaped ones. The ones labeled 54/142 seem to work just as well as the coffin shaped ones but its been my experience that the new asc 116 do not work for me at all. It takes twice as many of them and they are still less effective n relieving my pain
