What types of foods do you eat and do you make sure to get proper exercise?

There are other medications that can be added, such as alternative oral ones that may bring it down further, or the use of insulin injections, but only a doctor can help you decide what is right for you to use.

However, your diet plays a huge role, you do have to closely watch what you eat, cutting out sweet foods and keeping it very low in fat.

I reduced my A1C blood sugar numbers from 9.8 to 6.39 with diet. I am now reducing it further and losing weight too with a low carb diet .NO SUGAR, NO BREAD, NO PASTA, NO RICE, NO POTATOES, NO FRUIT EXCEPT BERRIES.
For me, going low carb is the only thing that works.
