Hi. I have chronic lower back pain that prevents me fro walking more than 50 yards at a time. I also have a severely arthritic left ankle that is painful. I will likely get a STAR replacement. I am on blood pressure, diabetes, depression, and anxiety meds. Will 15mg of Meloxicam help me? ## What other medications do you take? I am sorry, but I can't really answer your question without more details. Meloxicam is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, and according to NIH studies, it may be contraindicated with some medical conditions, such as high blood pressure, it may also react with some other medications. Can you please post back with the names of the others you are currently taking? Thank you!

The FDA classifies Meloxicam as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, which means that there is some risk of stomach ulceration, bleeding and liver damage, especially with higher doses, thus, it would be best not to raise your dosage, unless your doctor approves. i found some pills in my room that are small, white, and oval with the number 15 on one side and they are blank on the other side. Please help me figure this out. Thank You ## Based on your description, the closest match is a light yellow (could be mistaken for white?) oblong tablet with 15 on one side and blank on the other. A picture is available for verification at this URL: If this is what you have, then it's Meloxicam 15 mg, manufactured by Lupin Pharmaceuticals. If this isn't a match, then can you please include any other details you can think of? Please post back if you have any other questions or information to add... ## I take that tablet, also, and what is described is probably meloxocam, but the image shown greatly exaggerates the shade of yellow. would it be dangerous if I take my medical marijuana while on a meloxicam prescription? ## Hello, Rummpa! How are you? No, marijuana has not been known to cause any problems or interactions with any prescription medications, so far. That's why so many doctors are in favor of its use. Other Meloxicam side effects may include headache, stomach irritation and increased risk of bleeding. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Marijuana and effexor have a bad reaction together. I have recently quit taking pain meds that I have taken for the past ten years. I was up to 8 Vicoprofen and 4 Tramadol every day. I was so tired of getting up and felling horrible from the toxins in the opoides that I just don't want to do it anymore. However, now I have to deal with how painful it is without the meds and how tired I am. I shower every morning and try to take a 2 mile walk each day, but I am too tired and sore to keep it up. I was hoping a good NSAID would help me, but am so afraid it will have severe physical affects...possibly non-reversible. The side effects on the bottle are nothing compared to the research I have found on the computer. I watched my mother go thru many months of daily dialysis and then eventually chose to quit and she passed away by drowning in...
