What has your doctor advised?
When it comes to treating hypertension and/or cardiac conditions, the severity of the condition(s) plays a large factor in what medication is used, or if a combination of several medications is needed.
Norvasc contains the active ingredient Amlodipine, which is a calcium channel blocker and Prinivil contains the active ingredient Lisinopril, which is an ACE inhibitor, so while they treat the same conditions, they do work in different ways.
