Mallinckrodt Hydrocodone

Updated

I have been using brand name Norco 10 325 for some time. recently because of the DEA I cannot get them and nowi mallinckrodt s the only drug my pharmacy sells. I have read so many bad things about them on the internet, frankly I am about to have a nervous breakdown as I recently had rotator cuff surgery and I have to have the pain control to complete my therapy. I have heard good things but everyone says that the one to say the good things are crazy. help!!!

I understand your concern, however, the only way to know if they will help you, or not, is to actually try them!

You're not doing yourself any good by getting upset over it, please calm down. :-)

It isn't that the people on either side of what you've read are crazy, it's that everyone is different, so some may not get good results from the one Mallinckrodt manufactures, but others might not have any problem with it, at all.

Learn more Norco details here.

If they don't work for you, then you should contact your doctor to ask about trying an alternative medication.

Are there any other questions or concerns?

Actually I use the M367's 4 times per day- yes it does seem the pain comes back right at 4 hours, but it does control the pain for the most part. I do believe that each person's body reacts different to each brand of medication. Good luck.

Can you change to another pharmacy? (sounds like you're doing business with CVS). Mallinckrodt 10-325s are junk. If you can go to another pharmacy (the Actavis at Walgreens work fairly well), do it ASAP. Don't waste your money or use up your insurance allotment (they usually don't let you have the same thing in a different brand until the first prescription runs out) on Mallinckrodt Norco.

I agree . Had severe stomach issues with Mallinkrodt hydrocodone 5/325.
No doubt they are getting rid of all left over junk.

I had an accident almost a year ago that has totally messed up my back. It's the faucet T4, T5, I believe (I would have to get my MRI) however, I have had more needles put in my back than a seamstress pin cushion. I had an MBB then MBA, where they burn the nerves. I use to work for a physician and I ask a lot of questions. I said to the PA, is this just a bandaid, you destroy the nerves that my brain recognizes pain (in this area). She nervousley said, well, in a way. Red flag, to me this means exactly what I thought, a large Bandaid. I asked if the problem I have will get worse over time? Honestly, she started talking fast, using medical terminology, which I understand quite a bit of. I'm all for less invasive procedures and I did ask around and found several people have had this and with success. What I didn't know at the time is theirs was for herniated disc, or bulging disc's, (yes those are very painful) but I haven't found anyone that has had it for the faucet, and sadley after almost 5 months it didn't work, I'm in worse pain than I was before the procedure. After all that what I wanted to say is, the post where the lady said, they (Dr.) just wants you to try it, if it's not working let your Dr. know. If it was that easy, ha. NOBODY wants their name on your Doppler report because the DEA investigates your information if you have been given a certain amount of narcotics, which can cause problems for the Dr.'s. So the DEA doesn't care, they want to know why, how many, what pharmacy (if u go to different pharmicirs it can cause YOU problems) how many, and how often. I really don't care what they see on my doppler, what I do care about is, do they know how to read medical records, MRI's, CT scans, and all the tests and procedures you've had done? NOPE the don't. You can have documented proof but they think their high and mighty powerful people. Maybe it's little man syndrome? But you don't just call your Dr. and magically get a different medication. Their hands are tied because of the DEA. Don't they take an oath, yes, don't they go 8-12 years of school to help those who need help, yes, but big brother who may have 6 months (if that) of teaching about drugs and they think they are better than the Dr.'s. I feel bad for Dr.'s but more so, all of us who have cronic pain are suffering and nobody cares, period. So what can we do? Write letters to our legislatures, ha, they'll just think we're a bunch of addicts. It's very expensive to have all these MRI's, Dr. visits, procedures. I'm not doing this for fun, it's all in black and white. Someone, help those who truley are suffering, read the reports and back off our Dr.'s who have taken an oath and care about us but are afraid to cross that line. We are the Dr's responsibity to take care of us but they can't. I wish they had to go through what I'm going through for a month, a week. They couldn't do it I guarantee it.

They are a waste, and should be analyzed by an independent lab, for quantity

I need to know which pharmacies sell 10/325 mg hydrocdone pills that are oval ,white and are scored on one side and the description M367 on the other? I believe that a company called Mallinckrodt makes them. Wal-mart and CVS does, but who else? Thank You.

My doctor just told me that the mallinckrodt norco is a placebo!?

Could this be true? Has it been tested?

Re: Yogi (# 10) Expand Referenced Message

No. Of course Mallinckrodt is not a placebo. I prefer it.

Most other generics are manufactured in third world counties (Watson, Teva, Qualitest)

I still say Mallinckrodt hydrocodone does not work effectively!! They have obviously put very cheap quality fillers & binders !! I don't take pain medication all year around & when I do need it & its not effective!!! That's all the pharmacies here in my home town of around 145,000!!!!

Re: Nick (# 11) Expand Referenced Message

Ummm, Mallinckrodt IS made in India and it's the worst fakest drug on the market! Are hundreds of people wrong?? It's all over the internet how awful this placebo medication is. Mallinckrodt subs their Hydrocodone out to a facility in India, so there you go! If you get this medication you might as well prepare yourself to suffer in pain because it does NOTHING.

Try a different pharmacy. That manufacturer makes weak weak adderall so I had to go out of network to fill to get anything different.
If you get them, and they suck, please complain to the FDA. They’re ripping people off selling weak tablets.
