Methadone Withdrawals After 30 Days ?

Hi,
I was on Methadone for 15 years. For the past 2 years they slowly tapered me because I did not want to feel any withdrawals. They got me all the way down to 3 mg, and I stopped going. Well that was 30 days ago and I'm still going through withdrawals. They are not severe, insomnia, anxiety, diarrhea, cold chills. My question is how 2 stop it? I just want to feel normal again.

Hi, Tamara! Sorry about the problems you're having.

However, that is one very big issue with Methadone, it tends to cause withdrawals and cravings for a very long period of time, that's why most people never completely get off of it and end up requiring a lifetime maintenance dose.

Thus, I'm afraid there's no way to know for sure when the symptoms you're having will stop, or if they will ever stop completely.
