Lyrica What Does It Do

Is this also good for pain relief for neck pain.

As far as small pains like neck pain from an accident. This drug is so not the best out of all the pain management type of things. They all have side effects that are some what simular and I know of only one person that I know that can take this drug without problems. For small things related to accidents, go with something else. I had all the side effects, my emoitions were off the chart, I lost my job within 3 days of taking this because I sat at my desk and cried for an hour after just one pill. I couldn't think, form sentences, I had a headache that was just incredible. There were alot more things I just can't remember all of them. Please remember people don't take these new drugs lightly. Research what the company says could happen. This drug effects mens chance at making babies, and womens, anything strong enough to actually change your ability to make kids even by men taking it sounds pretty scary to me. Also remember, its new, not really new, but pretty new which means they don't know all the long term effects. This drug works on your brain chemicals and just wouldn't be the thing for a short term accident. Trust me I have had my share of car accidents.. get phsyical therapy, massages, even chiropractic will help. But this is not the thing for a car accident that if you just work with your body you will over come. This is a pain management drug, ment to work on how your brain precieves pain. Find something else.
There is one new one out for those that have chronic pain disorders that I found worked good, but I couldn't use it because I have anxiety and it made me feel like I was on a race track. Its only been out since 2009, doesn't seem like the side effects are as bad, but everyone is different. Its called Savella. I know that with me I stopped it and the effects were over in about a day. With LYRICA... one darn pills effects on my memory, ablitly to form a sentence, I had to move slow because I felt drunk, uneasy and just overall not quite right. That one pill lasted 3 days before the effects started to go away. When you start something stop it asap if it is effecting so many things that the benifit outways the side effects. With these pills... don't give them a chance.. it doesn't take that long for things to go wrong.
Just be careful everyone.. always read what they are giving you.

Lyrica contains the active ingredient Pregabalin, it is an anticonvulsant that has also been shown to help with certain types of nerve pain.

However, it will not work as fast as typical analgesics, such as narcotics do and can take 4 to 6 weeks to reach its full effectiveness in the body.

It may cause side effects, such as: nausea, dizziness, weight gain and dry mouth.
