Losartan 50 H Side Effects

Am taking Losartan H 50 mg one in the morning , one at night.Doctor wants me to take this for 7 weeks and come back with a test on Renal Profile.
Will I damage my Kidneys by using this drug ? I am a diabetic with Fasting Blood sugar 130 and using Glycinorm 40 (glycacide) twice a day and 250 mg X 2 Metroformin.Thanks

And no, This medication, which is a combination of Losartan and Hydrochlorothiazide is often given to diabetics to help protect their kidneys, since they can be very prone to suffering damage.

Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache and increase urination.

I have just been put on losartan/hctz. I am going into stage 4 kidney disease. Where as 2 years ago, I was in the earliest stages. My life span is maybe 3 years, My doctor gave me a low potassium list, but on line they show about a 75mg difference from my doctor's list. There are a lot of differences in mgs. between the two lists

What are the side effects of presartan h 50?...i have been taking t presartan h 50 1 tab daily n my bp is ok... can i reduce now to 25mgs?
