Lortab Watson Blue Vs Lortab M363 (Page 3)

Updated

My friend and I are both prescribed Lortab APAP10/500's. I get the Watson 540 blue pills and he gets the M363 white pills. I have taken the white ones before, but for some reason, it did not help me as much as the Watsons. I don't understand this. Besides the manufacturer, is there any real difference between the two different kinds of pills?

So does anyone actually like the real Lortab(the pink ones) or is there another non generic out there that I don't know about? The white Watson ones really do suck and I have had alot more pain the last four days. Also does anyone have another pill to suggest that I try because since things are changing at the end of the year I want to get on one that the tylenol amount is not going to change.Financially I can't afford back surgery right now plus I'm scared that I may end up worse off because I have heard very few success stories and many horror stories. Please help and thank you!

I have been taking Lortab 10 10/500 for several yrs. They have always been light blue, made by Watson. Recently, they have been white. made by Watson, same 10/500. Need to know if there is any difference.

@Dameta,

Based on my research, there are in fact blue and white versions of these pills. Someone else actually posted this same question a couple weeks ago & the only noticeable difference I could find is that some of the inactive ingredients (binders/fillers) are different due to the color/dyes. Unfortunately, the way a pill looks is entirely up to the whit and whim of the company making it, so if they want to change the color or shape of a pill, they are not required to give patients any prior notice whatsoever.

If you follow the link below and click on image #15, you'll be able to view a photo of the white version of this pill:

I hope this helps!

The company Watson has been sold and the change from blue to white is one of many changes to come in the near future.I had to switch meds because I also took the blue ones for years but when I took the white ones I had stomach cramp and bloating and kept a headache for the whole month and I broke out from them.If you have any problems with the "new" medicine discuss it with your dr. the possibility of switching to something else. And yes the only difference in them besides color is binders/fillers but apparently I was allergic. Also they didn't help my pain any more.I believe that the government is slowly changing pills to where they don't fill as effective to try to keep so many people from getting addicted to them. They are changing other meds like the Oxycontin to where people that abuse the medicine is not able to break it down to use it in another way to "get high".I guess this is good in some ways but there are people out there with legitimate pain that take there meds for that purpose only and when the drug companies get thru with all there changes we will all be lucky to even manage our pain!!!!

Ride it out, I know your post is a little older but wanted to comment. I do the same, if it's a little too early I will go to a different pharmacy that I usually use and pay cash. They have no problem doing this. The last two months I am finding harder to fill, everyone is out of meth. I almost filled 1/2 of it but as you probably know it voids the other 1/2. I ended up at 5 pharmacies.

I also was Taking Watson540 Blue for years,Now they are da Same Shape but WHITE 540-The New Watson Whites Make me feel all weird,my stomach feels Empty and I feel sick. I have Headaches with this new ones. I decided to SWITCH from Walgreens to Walmart...Any other 10/500 is better than da New Watson 540 whites.
We should BOYCOTT da NEW WATSON 540 WHITE.

Or you just get the rest at the 3 week mark. Your doc can rewrite the script for every 21 days although most like to do the 30 day script. If he/she writes for every 21 days then your insurance will cover all of them. But if you want 30 days worth, like someone else said, you can pay for the remaining.

I was reading this comment trying to figure out why everytime I tke my lorcet 10 now it cramps my stomach so bad tht I can't tke it for my pain. My pain pills use to be blue but the ones the pharmacy gave me this time are white. My stomach cramps so bad it feels lke food posion or lke tking an antibiotic on an empty stomach. Is there anything I can do or tke to prevent the stomach cramps before tking my pain pills?

The lortab 10 M 363 isn't even a Watson product. It is Mallincroft. Therefore, comparing is like apples to oranges, in a way. Especially when you are talking about the new Watson formula. Just an FYI

I disagree . They all go for all the same price. I've ben on vic's sence 2008 and Watsons is a generic its self. so if its a generic and you're trying to say um generics are all different but yet still do the same thing and still feel the same way then what you just posted makes absolutely no sense. it all works the same no matter who makes the pill. try stop asking a pharmacist and ask a doctor

sounds like your still there accusing someone like that cause they made a simple comment and was asking for advice. not some bad attitude.

@ anyone that hinks that there is no difference...
1. We are all biochemically different, therefore we will all respond to different ingredients differently regardless if it is active or not.
2. Doctors don't know everything, they only know what they have been taught! Pain pathways are very complex and still not well understood.
3. Bottom line, do what works for you! Try different manufacturers and see if you notice a difference... I do!
PS... I'm not a drug addict so save your breath. For anyone that cares to know I have Ehlers Danlos Hyper mobile type and everything that goes with it!

Based on my research and conversations with people in the business, it's my understanding they changed pretty much every pill to white. They are each going to have a diff chemical in them so during a U.A. the doc can tell specially what type of tab is in your system. So for people selling their scripts and getting different pills later if they get U.A. the doc will be able to tell the specific type of tab in your system...ll

Anyone who has taken hydrocodone for any period of time knows there is a slight deviation in feeling u get from different manufacturers. Personally I have always thought the watsons worked better for me. But I know a couple people who would rather have the white ones. Its just a difference in the binders and each individuals metabolism and amounts of food, acid, and a host of other variables. Try drinking some caffeine when u take them. It helps.

tylenol does make the hydro more effective have had a script for 500 and 325 both effective but 325 seem to be a bit easier to handle especially when you take 10 a day barely within limits of the max daily apap at 325 exceeds the limit at 500

I have been on hydro for 5 years the brand name lortab ubc are the best but who has 400 dollars to cover the cost Watson are my personal choice I've had so little money lately I've been going to the 367 m the cost is about 1/3 of Watson I get 150 for 42 dollars as opposed to the Watson at 120 dollars cost-co is where to buy the m367 cheaper if you request it they will order any brand you want I recommend the cost-co alternative and no membership is required to use their pharmacy it is illegal to require membership to pharmacy's
