Looking For Pain Clinic That Takes Blue Cross Blue Shield

I was going to south east spine and pain in Knoxville for almost 3 years they were giving me 60 oxymorphone 30 mg and 120 Roxie 30 mg for break thru pain I got kicked out because my wife over dosed and the local police took all my meds along with hers so I talked with my family doc she sent me to a suboxine clinic one time. I told my pain doc this but I got kick out anyway does anyone know where I can get into another one

Hello! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having.

Unfortunately, if you went to an addiction treatment clinic, even upon advice of your doctor, that is what is listed in your medical records and it's going to be very difficult to find a doctor that will be willing to prescribe anything. You'll most likely be better off sticking with the Suboxone.

The FDA classifies this as a narcotic that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

The only other suggestion I can make is to speak to your PCP again and see if she can refer you to someone that might help, especially with her being able to validate your story.

Does anyone else have any ideas or know of a good doctor in that area?

Call blue cross blue shield and ask them for covered pain managment doctors or orthopedic pain managment. That will be a $20 co pay. Second bring in perscription records of your previous medications. Saying you want to go back on or are switching doctors is normal with pain managment. Bring your mri and you should be good! And just because you went to rehab DOES NOT MEAN DOCTORS WILL TURN YOU AWAY! I have no trouble going to a doctor and i have 4 rehabs and 6 detoxes on my record. Also googling the doctors name plus oxycontin will tell u reviews and also a list of what the doctors perscribe the most. This should help!
