UpdatedOkay so I have been taking adderall 20 mg or 30 mg 2 times a day for almost 6 years through the same psychiatrist. He used to always write me enough meds for 3 months and sometimes 90 tablets a month even when i first started seeing him i was given add med no problem!! 7 months ago ?I stopped seeing my psych and had been a stay at home mom well recently i decided to go back to work managing a dental office and knosw i need my meds so decided to find a new psych closer and cheaper because i can no longer see my previous psych
Well here in houston tx is it NOW REQUIRED TO make patients take an ADHD test??? So I pay 180 for the visit after talking to the PA he assures me the doc is great blaaa blaaa we will get u fixed up so relieved i was but when my new psych came in to talk to me he said now it is required to do ADHD test and it usually cost 1500.00 but he can try to get his person to bring the price down as low as he can get would be 250.00 before this he said I can give you samples for a month NUVIGIL or Str0attera or decide if you want to pay the 250.00 for test SO I paid it and the test was ridiculous like 6 pages after the test DOC came back and said I DID GOOD??? im like okay so where is my med he said he would only write low dose of addy XR by this time i was like whatever just write it .... then he says heres a 15 day supply you will need to come back in 2 weeks with rx bottle to verify and we will continue my rx is 50 bucks for 15 and in 2weeks am i going to pay another fee IS THIS LEGIT SOMEONE HELP ME OUT OR SUGGEST A BETTER DOC DO I GET MY 250.00 TEST TO KEEP?? AND IF I KNOW WHAT MED WORKS FOR ME WHY CANT I GET IT ??? DO ALL HOUSTON DOCS REQUIRE THIS ADD TEST AND ANYONE KNOW THE FEE??? UGH AND ALSO AFTER BEING AT THE DOCS OFFICE FROM 8:30 TO 12:30 TRYING TO FILL THE SCRIPT THE DUMMY DID NOT WRITE INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO TAKE THE MEDS -
