I've been taking Lo Loestrin Fe at the same time every day consistantly for two months with no period... is this normal?

I have been on Loloestrin Fe for over a year now and only once had a period. I was concerned about this at first but my doctor told me that this pill in particular causes many women to lose their period. I am not pregnant. I hope this helps to ease some minds.

Hi ladies...ok here's the deal with me....i started on my Lo Lestrin last month. Even being on this bc, i still got a morning after pill this past month because i'm totally paranoid when it comes to getting pregnant. i took my last placebo pill on 9/14/13. i NEVER go a whole month without a period. So i did not start the 2nd pack and i still have NOT started my period thinking by stopping it i would start. now you can imagine why i'm freaking out. i took the pill everyday at the same time, (i have an alarm set on my phone to remind me), and on top of the plan b i took...i don't see how i haven't had a period. what should i do? should i break down and take a test or am i just being super paranoid. i have had cramps, and irritabilty, and some frequent headaches/migraines. i have not had any boob pain, or nausea. it does make me feel better knowing that i'm not the only one that has missed a period on this pill tho. any input would be very much so appreciated!! thanks!!

this may help ease your mind or maybe not but I've been on this pill for 3 or so years now. I had normal periods the first few months but then they completely stopped. At my last doctors visit they asked when my last period was & being unsure because I haven't had one in a very long time, I said I don't know. They then asked what type if birth control I was on & when I told them lo loestrin fe, they assured me that this specific bc pill can & will stop your periods. Although it is worrisome at times, I'm glad I'm not the only one with this issue.

I've been taking Loestrin since the beginning of August this year. I did have unprotected intercourse but he didn't cum inside me, but he did have precum on his genitalia and that did leave me to believe I needed to take a pregnancy test and I did and I'm not pregnant and now I'm kinda worried cuz I've been taking my BC but my period was supposed to be 3days ago. I think my body is just adjusting to the pills but it is something I am worried about a little bit cuz usually my periods are on time. Any advice would be appreciated (;

You NEED to take the white pills, they prevent ovulation! They are one of the most vital pills in the pack. I believe they contain estrogen or progestin. I am not exacrly sure. You can stop taking the two brown pills for no period, they are just iron pills. but with this pill even if you take the brown pills it will keep getting lighter and lighter until you get no period

I've been on lo loestrin fe for 2 months and just started my 3rd pack today with no period at all. I called my doctor today and I am still waiting for a call back but i'm glad to see I am not the only one. I took a pregnancy test about 2 weeks ago and it was negative and I am showing no signs of pregnancy now. we'll see, I definitely want to get blood work though to see what is going on.

Hi everyone! I've been on Lo Loestrin Fe for 4 months now. For the past three months I have had a very small period (only lasting for a couple hours on one particular day). These periods have been really irregular and didn't happen on schedule. I just started college and my boyfriend and I have never had unprotected sex (he ALWAYS wears a condom, pulls out, and comes in the condom) but this month, in the past few weeks, I have had terrible boob pain and alot of bloating. I have felt slightly nauseous on occasion but i did have a cold in which I usually become nauseous due to drainage. We are super safe, but could I be pregnant? I'm starting the white pills tonight so I hope I get some sign of a period soon. Any comments would be greatly appreciated!

I've experienced the same thing this is my third month without one. My doctor assured me that it was normal, but we all worry about ourselves when our cycles aren't what we would consider normal.

I am kind of in the same boat. I do not take it at all at the same time but I have also been on it for a long time. Probably close to 3 years. I actually had a couple weird things happen recently where I did forget to take one but immediately took it when I remembered, then took one at night like normal. I then went out of town which always throws off any routine, and I forgot one this time before bed. I went to take it in the a.m and thought I did, when later I found it on the bed (thankfully)... It is so tiny! I guess it stuck to my fingers. Anyway, lastly I was with my husband and looked at the pack one night and really got confused since the one I was going to take for the evening was missing. I must have taken it without a second thought. I really screwed this pack up and hopefully not myself! With this pill it is easy to think you may not have a period, but then again we are trained to think we are pregnant without one! I'm lost! :( I am hoping it is normal....

Oh my gosh. I've been on this for a month and a half and was FREAKING OUT when I didn't start (I'm usually very regular) but you all have eased my mind. However I have noticed a humongous shift in my mood. I have been depressed, manic and absolutely disinterested in everything. I figured the pill might be the cause.

I got my period, if it is my period on the third week of loloestrin fe. Its a lot lighter than usual. Its also my first month on the pill. I was regularly supposed to get my period on the 24th of October, but here I am. I am extremely nauseous and cry at pretty much anuthing. Could it be implantation bleeding or am I just psyching myself out.

As far as i have read, heard and experienced..when taken properly this pill is extremely effective and will cause preggo symptoms as well as no periods due to causing no ovulation..you are fine..;)

Hi everyone, just thought I'd put my 2 cents in. I've been on this pill for 3 years now. My dr put me on it because of my super heavy periods. Since I started taking it and my body has adjusted to the hormones (it'll take about a month, maybe 2!!) I haven't had a single period. Of course, we women freak out when we don't have a period and suddenly have breast pain, cramps, or nausea. This pill stops ovulation. But for good measure, I still take a pregnancy test every 4-6 months to ease my mind.

I love this pill. It hasn't made me moody and has completely stopped my ridiculously heavy flow.

I'm experiencing the exact same thing. Since I started my birth control two months ago I have not had my period yet and my pregnancy test came back negative.

I started lo loestrin fe in January 2013. While on the pill, I was having a period every 2 weeks. I stopped taking the pills at the end of a pack on October 1st. I still haven't had a period? Please guide me in the right direction for help. My husband and I are wanting to get pregnant. Bless you!

What happens if you miss 1 white pill? Does that effect you? Are the white pills important?

I'm in high school and I've been on Lo Loestrin Fe for 8 months. I miss pills occasionally and always follow the directions for how to deal with that. I haven't had my period in almost 6 months. It says it's a side effect and i have talked with my doctor about it, she says it's normal. For all you girls that are worrying because you haven't had your period, the birth control itself has the side effect to stop periods. I wouldn't be worried!

I been taking Lo loestrin fe for a month now I'm on my first week of the second pack and still no period....I haven't had any side effects on this one so that's good but I would like to get a period just to know I'm not pregnant, I don't want to take pregnancy tests all the time plus I don't think I would be certain with one test I would need to take at least two or three to know for sure...this sux after using many different types of birth control this is the one I don't have any side effects but then I don't get a period...don't know but maybe I should just stick with it maybe my obgyn can give me some pregnancy tests so I won't have to spend 15 bucks on a test...I hope I get some kind of period

As someone being on it and as all the others have said..more than likely you will NOT get a period while being on this pill..thats how it works,read the past posts. It doesnt allow you to ovulate and thats when you get a period.
its just somethig you have to get used to if you like this pill. Its the only one i can take as well due to having an intolerance to Estrogen.I am already on high blood pressure meds with this pill..so..it could be worse.
Be happy you feel well on these pills. You could be suffering just to not have a child.

I just got on lo loestrin fe birth control in October and I started the Sunday after. My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex on Oct 25 and now I'm on the second white pill for this month of nov and I still haven't had a period.
