Lexamil Results And Side Effects

I have am also taking lexamil 10mg a day. In the first few weeks i suffered from awful headaches and my neck became incredibly stiff and leg muscle spasms, also a big increase in my appetite. I continued through that my appetite is ok now and the headaches are gone, just some days i still get a terribly stiff neck like a type of pressure up my spine, very uncomfortable. I am def. more emotionally balanced, cry less etc. However, I dont think any pill will take all your stress away, that is something one needs to work on yourself with the support of the medication. NEVER JUST STOP YOUR MEDS, you need to be weaned off of them. It has taken a few months to get to a better place while using the medication it does not happen over a few days as it needs to build up in your system and reach a balance for the meds to work correctly.

That is correct, no medication will ever completely fix any medical condition, they should really be used to help treat it, not as the sole thing you rely on for a solution.

Has your doctor provided any suggestions to help with the stiff neck? Have you had any tests to see what's causing it?

I have been on Lexamil for just over a week now, I am taking 10mg (1x tablet) at night, my concern is I am worried I will gain weight again and I'm sure I've noticed already, my hands have started to peel and I don't know if this is normal in terms of the side affects, I would like to rather stop it as I can not gain anymore weight, I have also noticed I get heartburn after I take it and the peeling on my hands are starting to hurt. I suffer with depression and anxiety and my doctor put me onto this. I would just like some advice on what I can do. Thanks Peter!

Oh my word think you should ask the doctor re your peeling hands. I am still taking the lexamil for 6 months. However my main side effect is night sweating and badly so which is awful. Yes i have also gained weight after losing over 20kg so I am not happy about that. I do think it makes me hungry...but more of a emotional eating thing i think...that means i will have to use my own self control to watch my weight. Otherwise i am feeling a lot better it definitely helps my mind stay sane. .

Good day, i have been cilift, went through a bad patch which resulted in anxiety and depression all over again. I have been on lexamil a week now and emotionally feel much better. While going through the 'bad patch', i lost my apetite (i usually LOVE food) and my IBS has flared up. I am getting my apetite back and i am grateful for that! I get despondent if i see i am losing more weight. I do however wake up much earlier, with nausea, shakes and hotflushes. This lasts only about an hour now when it use to last the whole day. Does anyone else experience this and will it go away?
