I was taking a look at the warning label for this medication and can certainly understand why you are concerned about your friend:

"WARNINGS:
Lenadol contains codeine and exceeding the prescribed dose, together with prolonged and continuous use, may lead to dependence and addiction. The administration of codeine during labour may cause respiratory depression in the newborn infant. As this product contains paracetamol, doses in excess of those recommended may cause severe liver damage to occur.
Patients suffering from kidney or liver disease should take paracetamol under strict medical supervision.
Consult your doctor if no relief is obtained with the recommended dosage.
Do not use continuously for longer than 10 days without consulting your doctor."

The dosing and administration guidelines indicate having 'one to two' tablets every 3 to 4 hours, to a maximum of 8 tablets daily. Even in 30 days or a month it amounts to about 240 pills. Your friend could potentially OD in this manner, especially as harsh as paracetamol is on the liver.

Has your friend been to any sort of rehab clinic?

That is quite a lot and very dangerous. Have they sought medical attention?

Lenadol is listed as containing 400mgs of Paracetamol, 5mgs of Diphenhydramine, 50mgs of Caffeine and 10mgs of Codeine.

By taking that many in a month, they are far exceeding the daily safe limits of Paracetamol, anything over 4,000mgs in a day can be toxic and they may have already caused severe organ damage.

Are they seeing a doctor?

Bi there. Thanks for the feedback. My friend is 29 years. His childhood and circumstances under which he grew up, was unacceptible; he went through a lot of trauma, rejection and up to has no friends. He does not have a Medical Aid at this moment. Do you think he can be treated as out-patient? He is motivate and really wants to end this addiction. What are the withdrawel symptoms; how does one taper the doseage? Are there any medication one can use to help with withdrawel? Please help, suggestions will be appreciated. This person is very very special.
