came in bottle of heartburn medicine from WalMart. 150mgs of Ranitidine. The prior meds I bought were same bottle, etc, however the pills differ and it concerns me a bit - the first pill marked R150 is pink - the L852 pill (second batch I bought) is almost the color of motrin.....I won't take this until I know it is the right medication.

Funny...They now are pink again and make me sick. The brownish ones worked best for me.

I honestly think the dark pills are a laxative they tore my stomach up and had me in the bathroom all morning. I wish I knew for sure, but I will not take the darker ones they are not ranitidine I'm certain of it. I think I will keep them just in case there is a recall or if this is something worse that causes bigger problems down the road!

I too took this medication. I have used this for several months with no problems and when I got this new bottle it looks like a generic advil and did not help my symptoms at all. I bought another bottle thinking that I must be getting worse and it is the same pink color as the prior pills and worked as usual. I think or hope that everyone having this issue alerts the pharmacist and possibly get it removed from the market. I don't know what it is, but with this many people not having any relief, it can't possibly be the same thing.

I have noticed the same issue, they do not work at all for heartburn and appear to be very similar to generic tylenol in appearance. Has anyone received any new information on these pills?

Oh, thank God. I'm MISERABLE, and I thought it was just me... I take these all the time, but the newest bottle isn't taking care of my symptoms AT ALL.

This is not heartburn medication. I'm sure of it.

I have had the same issue with these. Try Target's "Up and Up" brand. These are made by the same manufacturer that used to make Walmart's and are the usual pink color and size. They worked much better for me.

Same here, something wrong with these meds, do not take until we hear from the manufacturer. Major change in the look and markings on this medication. Should be Ranitidine but does not seem to be working for me, sure hope it's not something I am allergic to.

I question this pill. I took it last night thinking it was a new version. It did not even touch my heartburn like the pink one I took the night before. I don't know what it is but it is not ranitidine.

Yes, it is the same medication, 150mgs of Ranitidine.

These are generic/store brand medications and they do not actually manufacture them, but rather have them packaged for them by a company that does manufacture them and this means that which pills are in their bottles can change, depending on who was offering the best prices at the time of contract renewal.

They may even use more than one manufacturer.
